I had an amazing solo day trip to Sintra and Cascais, and our guide Jamie made the experience even better. He was incredibly helpful, always quick to answer questions, and gave us the freedom to explore each location at our own pace. I appreciated being dropped off near the main attractions with solid recommendations on what to see and do. Even though I went solo, I ended up meeting a lovely couple on the tour and had a great time sharing the experience with them. The itinerary was well-organized, the scenery was stunning, and Jamie’s laid-back but informative style made everything run smoothly. Tip: Definitely wear good walking shoes—there’s a fair bit of walking, and some of the paths (especially in Sintra) can be steep or uneven.

Totally amazed at the quality of the trip and knowledge by the tour guide. João was great, friendly and aware of the things we needed to see. Definitely recommend this trip.

I cant say enough about this guide and his attention to us and giving the history of each place we visited. It was a magical day. Usually a long day like that would have been so tiring but I was so excited after our day I couldn't go to bed till much later and it was a TON of walking. Ive 12000 steps lol. We would do with him Juan again on any tour they do!!!

Miguel was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about everything about Portugal and obviously loves sharing his country with others. This was a pleasant tour into a little quieter area full of history and beauty. We definitely recommend it. It was also very nice having our own personal guide as were the only ones scheduled that day.

The sad part about visiting this beautiful village outside Lisbon is that it has become a popular bus tour location, unloading hundreds of visitors every day. This is why our local guide, Miguel, picked us up early at our hotel in Lisbon and made sure to get us there early so that we could enjoy the beauty and solitude of this village. Definitely worth the trip. Miguel owns Roadtrip and having grown up in the Sintra area we were ahead of the crowd. We finished with a fabulous seafood lunch along the bay in Cash Cais. Definitely connect with Miguel at Roadtrip Sintra & Lisboa for the best local experience.

On Wednesday, March 28th we went to Sintra, with everything planned but I really think it costs more to go alone in this city if you haven't been before. To our surprise we find Miguel our future guide around the city. When you arrive at the station you feel a little overwhelmed with all the offers to visit the city but finally I think we found the best option. The tour was done by 5 friends and I with another couple with whom we agreed very well. We started with the old town of Sintra where Miguel explained very well and in detail everything we asked him during the tour and as well as tricks of where to buy tickets without queues or buy typical sweets there. Finally we entered the Palacio de la Pena (it did not include the entrance) where Miguel again made a well explained tour and took us through the main attractions, always attentive to the group and solving any difficulties that there were, since they are many stairs and very small. The tour was very interesting, dynamic and nothing boring or heavy. 100% recommended, and also Miguel a man with a lot of knowledge and very friendly. Thank you so much for the tour!
