This is a small group full-day tour from Bucharest to Transylvania on a very picturesque route through the Carpathian Mountains allowing you to discover two of the most beautiful Romanian castles - Peles Castle & Bran (Dracula's) Castle - as well as the city of Brasov in south Transylvania.

At least 2 people are required for this activity to take place. If the minimum number of people is not reached, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

From the 1st of August 2024, Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days, we will see the Peles Castle from outside & the gardens and we will spend more time in Brasov.

The order of the visits depends on the season, weather & the opening hours.

Not recommended for people with impaired mobility.

This is a very long day trip and very busy a lot of people vying for entry so not for elderly or those unstable on their feet! Our guide Serban Riga was very good at explaining the history and keeping us on time

A long but great day. Took lots of food and water with us so didn’t need to worry about ordering in a restaurant and waiting as it was busy. Street food, pastries and hot drinks available. Bought tickets online in advance using their link which save queuing and got the seniors discount. Loved the ornate Peles interior- Bran’s secret staircase and history interesting but not so beautiful. Brasov a bit rushed as we had to help another group out that had an accident but enough time as it was snowy and very cold even in mid April. Camellia was good and driver safe. Definitely worth doing.

It's a full 12-hour tour, 6-7 hours of which are driving. The castles are well worth visiting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Small group of 16 which worked well. Everyone was on time when asked to be.

This tour is way over-rated. Peles castle was closed on the day of our outing and the Bran castle is a staged and unimpressive depiction of the overly embellished tale of “Dracula”. The highlights of the day was the restaurant - food was good- we stopped at for lunch but that’s about it. Our guide Serban was knowledgeable however we learned at our next tour of some of the discrepancies he shared about Ceauacescu vs what other guides told us. He was also quite garrulous.

Excellent tour to 2 main attractions plus Brasov city! The tour bus was clean and prompt with a great guide, Riga! He was great at giving facts and explanations during the drive and at both castles. Make sure you bring cash with you for both castles!!!
