This is a small group full-day tour from Bucharest to Transylvania on a very picturesque route through the Carpathian Mountains allowing you to discover two of the most beautiful Romanian castles - Peles Castle & Bran (Dracula's) Castle - as well as the city of Brasov in south Transylvania.

The order of the visits depends on the season, weather & the opening hours.
Tickets to Peles Castle are not included in the tour price. If you wish to visit the interior, please purchase your tickets in advance directly from the official Peles Castle website. We recommend booking only the first or second time slot available on your selected date. Ticket availability is limited daily, so please book as soon as possible after confirming your tour.
Peles Castle will be closed for general cleaning and preventive conservation from Nov 3 to Dec 2, 2025. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to visit Pelisor Castle instead.
Not recommended for people with impaired mobility.

What To Expect
Peles Castle
Our first visit is to Peles Castle, the former residence of the Romanian Royal Family and the most visited castle in Romania. - General Exhibition standard tour 1 hour (on Mondays you will visit Peles Castle from outside because it is closed on Mondays, and you will spend more time in Brasov city) *Please be aware that Peles Castle will be closed between 12th and 25th of February 2024 for refurbishment. In this period we will see Peles Castle from outside and visit Pelisor Castle instead.
Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
The second visit will be at the famous Bran castle, also known as Dracula’s castle; It is considered that Bram Stocker’s novel was inspired by Bran Castle and Vlad the Impaler, one of the cruelest rulers of the Walachia region of Romania.

5.00This was a wonderful day and tour. We had beautiful weather and Transylvania is so gorgeous. Peles castle was stunning inside and I enjoyed Bran castle being a fan of the Dracula novel and the setting. Laura was a very professional and knowledgeable tour guide and she timed it perfectly so we never dealt with a lot of crowds.

5.00It’s a long day y but totally worth it. The castles are so beautiful and the towns you stop in are just the same. Our driver/guide Serban was brilliant. He kept us time, gave lots of facts, was great fun to be around and one hell of a driver. He knew all the back routes and tricks of the road so our 12 hour day stayed that way.

5.00A very long tour but Peles Castle was quite beautiful. Bran Castle was extremely busy and I would recommend visiting the torture area (at extra cost) as it is much quieter. Roberto, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and very entertaining - making the long journey interesting. He made sure we stuck to our timetable - not an easy task with the queues at both castles. Braşov is a very picturesque town and well worth a visit in its own right.

5.00We had a wonderful day out. Laura, our guide, and Alex, our driver, were both excellent. It’s a long day but so worth it. We were picked up on time and travelled safely on very busy roads. Laura provided interesting commentary and was fun to be with. Highly recommended.
