What To Expect
El Yunque National Forest
We visit the Eastside of El Yunque Rainforest. Our adventure starts with a 30 minute hike (the path can be muddy) to the first mineral water, natural water pool. There you can enjoy the landscape, swim in the water and live in nature. Along the way you will learn of the bio diverse ecosystem of the rainforest, touch bamboo, unique flora, guava trees and 300 year old trees. Further up after a 15 minute hike, a little rocky there is another watering hole with natural waterfalls. NOTE : Saturday tour take a different route and require participants to be in good physical condition. This route is great for people in shape ready for a more steep and muddy adventure. If this is not for you, we encourage to book with us on any other day of the week. We are featured in Kayak Travel guide for San Juan.

5.00We loved the tour! Pickup from the port was seamless and the communication beforehand laid everything out very well…there are parts of the trail that can be a bit tricky to navigate with slippery rocks and extended reaches, but the guide did a fantastic job making sure everyone knew exactly what to do.
You will enjoy it, as long as you know what you are getting into.

4.00The centerpiece of the tour is sliding down a waterfall, and jumping from a cliff into water. If you just want to explore the rainforest, hike, and see the tower, you may want to hike on your own. You WILL get wet on this tour. There is no perfect footwear. You need good hiking shoes or sneakers to hike over slippery rocks, but then you will dive into water wearing those same footwear. This is a rainforest, and it will rain; maybe a little bit, but it will rain. You will encounter mud; there is no way to avoid it; you will need to walk right thru it (if you hike on your own, it will be the same thing). This hike will have a number of challenging moments, when you have to use all four to climb a rock. This is not a hike for small children (like under 8) or frail older adults. But you will not be out of breath; this is not an endurance test. There will be a "home base" in the middle of the hike. It is just a shore of the body of water. You will leave your backpacks, phones, and anything you don't want to get wet in there. The guide can take your picture / video on her phone and send you later. You pick up your stuff after the water activities. Overall, it was a fun experience. Our 3 daughters really-really enjoyed it!

5.00My adult daughter and I went on this trip, she was happy to track the trails to the rivers, pools and rock slides, I, on the other hand wanted to walk through the rainforest and photograph the plants and trees. We both had a brilliant time, she really enjoyed all the watery pursuits whilst I loved listening to the birds with no outside intrusions of traffic etc which was a rare and special experience. Deffy who took our tour was so kind and informative and we both feel very happy to highly recommend this day out.

5.00We had a great time. Taina picked us up and was not late. She was friendly to my kids and was very informative during the climb. For those who have young kids, those can stay in shallow water, so no issues. We had a great time.
