Packed half day starting with a 6.50am pick up taking in Peace Park including optional gondola ride, Infiltration Tunnel 3, the Dora Observatory to peek into North Korea, and Reunification Village. Opportunities to purchase refreshments at each stop plus souvenirs at most of the stops. You might want to also bring your own snacks and drinks. Infiltration Tunnel 3 has a downhill walk and will require crouching to reach the end if you are taller than around 5' 5". You will be thankful for the hard hat. The downhill walk becomes a fairly strenous uphill walk on the return. There is also a fairly steep uphill walk to get to the Dora Observatory. Sophie is a great tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and interacts well with the guests. US visitors need to be aware of US sanctions on all goods manufactured in North Korea including North Korean money and postage stamps available for purchase. Please check the relevant US government web sites for current information. Basically don't bring North Korean manufactured items into the US without the right permits and approvals. For information on purchasing North Korean money and postage stamps you can also connect with reputable US based dealers once you are back in the US.

Team Sophie Rulez! Although it was a very hot day, we had such a cool time with Sophie. She was the best guide and did her very best with our group. We had to share a bus with a Japanese group at the same time but her explanations of the DMZ history was excellent. Highly recommend!
