  Having been to Sydney on numerous occasions, were looking for a different type of experience, and this tour certainly exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide Mike is incredibly knowledgeable, having worked in the fishing industry from the Bearing Sea, to Hawaii, to far north Queensland and locally at these markets for many years. From watching live seafood auctions, to walking around the auction floor, trying to avoid getting in the way of the very busy workers, and then through the retail side, we experienced everything in this amazing tour. Definitely recommend this informative and fun tour, well worth the early morning start!

  Our private tour of the Sydney Fish Market was THE highlight of our trip to Sydney! Our guide , Michael a former commercial fisherman, was extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much about how fish are caught and sold. The tour of the individual vendor stalls was fascinating- they all look alike and sell similar products but we were able to understand each one’s specialties from octopus to sushi grade tuna to prawns and oysters. It is an amazing tour. When the new market opens at the end of the year, I am sure it will become the number one destination in Sydney!

  Done the early morning tour of the fish markets . The tour was really interesting and the guide explained everything that was happening on the market floor as it was happening. Would highly recommend the tour if you are at all interested in the seafood industry and we are looking forward to do it again once the new market place is open.

  Our tour guide Mike was amazing! The early morning behind-the-scenes tour was incredibly interactive; Mike made sure to bring the energy and continuously engage 25 college students at 6am (not easy to do!).   Did the early morning Fish Market Tour. Amazing! Didn’t expect to go down on to the buyers floor, opening up the boxes of fish to get a close-up look at the ‘software’ . Just do it!
