Had such a fantastic time at Harrisons Cave ECO Adventure Park. My new favourite Cocktail is the Green Tail Monkey. It was so interesting learning about the Rich History of Rum. I also thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class where I learnt how to make a Bajan fish dish and Bread Pudding in a Rum Sauce and the Corn n Oil cocktail.

The Tastes and Tales Tour was an absolute treat! It was the perfect blend of history, culture, and mouthwatering food and drinks. Every dish and drink had a story, and I loved learning about Barbados through its rich culinary traditions. The dishes were authentic and flavorful. Each one highlighted a different aspect of Bajan cuisine. The guides were warm, engaging, and knowledgeable, weaving fascinating facts about the island's common sayings into the mix. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to experience the island beyond the sights and surface.

I was nervous to name a reservation for this activity because it was new and had no reviews. I'm so so so happy that I did! I really enjoyed tastes and tales. I booked the activity for October 2 to celebrate my 40th birthday. I was the only attendee which was actually more fun than I thought it would be. I got personal one-on-one attention which made me feel extra special on my birthday. I enjoyed tasting the different types of rum and learning about how they are made. We paired it with a small piece of chocolate cake which was perfectly moist and delicious. It was strong but from the home of rum I wouldn't have expected anything different. I'm glad I ate a small snack before the tasting lol. The cooking class was my favorite part. Ms. Carl-Ann was so nice and answered all of my questions about Bajan food and spices. I would visit the location again just to hang out with her. She was so sweet and even have great life advice to me upon entering my 40th chapter. We made flying fish with green banana. I couldn't believe how delicious it was. Next we made a rum sauce to go with the premade bread pudding. The sauce was so good...I shocked myself that I made it so quickly. I had birthday candles with me and added them to my bread pudding. Since I was attending the activity solo Ms. Carl-Ann gathered a couple of employees to sing happy birthday to me. It made my day!! I left so loved and was almost brought to tears. Lastly we're made a cocktail that was very good. I don't remember what was in it besides rum but didn't didn't matter. I would order a couple from the bar if I knew what it was lol. The only change I would suggest is making the cocktail first so we can sip on it while cooking. After the class was done I had free time to go to the bird atrium while I waited for my shuttle to pick me up. I sipped my cocktail during my walk to the atrium. I fed ducks, pigeons and a peacock. So much fun! I would highly recommend this activity to learn about the origin of rum, cook a delicious local meal and hang with birds in natural.

This was a great experience. My family and I totally enjoyed this. All the staff were great. Trenisha was our host for the history tour and rum tasting. She was so energetic and comical. We had a great time learning the history of rum on the island and as well as tasting the three different kinds. The culinary experience with CarolAnne and Chef D was great. They were patient and made cooking fun (it’s not my favorite hobby). I loved the delicious flying fish dish we made. Chef D made an amazing rue and spice blend for our dish. I loved making our bread pudding sauce and of course eating our tasty meal and dessert. We even got to make a rum cocktail too which was great for any occasion. I’m so glad we did this experience. 10/10
