Cook up a storm at Jimmy’s Kitchen, Bangkok’s friendliest Thai cooking school!

You'll be charmed by Jimmy. Instead of a hot and sweaty market tour, we teach you about the herbs you'll use 'in situ'. Choose your own dishes, no need to follow a set menu. Learn to make your own curry paste from scratch. Small groups too which means personal attention.

Along with regular cooking classes, we offer vegetarian only, vegan only, family friendly and children only classes.

If you like cooking or if you like Thai food, then our course is for you. You will learn how to create real Thai food and how to adjust the flavours, especially the level of spiciness, to suit your taste.

Our classes are hands-on so you learn how to do everything yourself, you’re not just watching somebody else do it. The best part of it all is that you get to eat what you cook!

If you're vegetarian or vegan, we also have you covered.

What To Expect

You will start with a tour of our herb garden to learn about and pick the herbs you'll use, Then you'll cook three dishes of your choice (plus make your own curry paste if you'd like) and, finally, you'll sit down to eat what you've cooked.

It was really worth it as Ms Jimmy made the class so fun and comfortable.. very clean space and good environment.. also the food taste good without any enhancers and flavouring…would like to join again if we travel to Bangkok👌🏽

Lovely little cooking class with Jimmy! I was the only student so had great one-on-one time learning different things & tips about Thai cooking! Jimmy also has a small garden where she showed me the different herbs and vegetables that she grows. Would definitely recommend as an introduction to Thai cooking & techniques.

A must do Thai cooking class when in Bangkok. Jimmy is very friendly and knowledgeable. We first enjoyed a garden tour, learning about the fresh herbs and spices. We then prepared, cooked and ate all the amazing dishes! We received take home recipes and lots of handy tips to cook Thai at home. Go hungry!

Jimmy's Kitchen is a great place to learn how to cook thai food! I have done a few classes already before, and find myself coming back. P.s. if you have a chance to try or buy the apple butter, please do it!! It's amazing 👏

Had a great afternoon with Jimmy cooking yellow curry, morning glory stir fry and beef namtok. Loved the option to customise spice levels because I can’t take the heat but my partner can. Highly recommend!

A pleasant and relaxing way to spend time between flights, easy to get to from the airport. I loved looking round the garden and seeing things like lemongrass growing. The food we made was so delicious and I picked up lots of useful tips for Thai cooking. My teenage sons even enjoyed themselves. Jimmy made us so welcome. A memorable experience. Recommended.

I would recommend everyone visit Jimmy when in Bangkok! This class was fun and easy for beginners and advanced cooks! Jimmy does an excellent job at making sure everyone feels comfortable, involved and most of all immersed in the culture! From the moment we arrived she treated us with the upmost hospitality and kindness. The food was delicious and I am a picky eater- everything pleasantly surprised me! You can tell Jimmy really loves what she does and enjoys sharing her passion with others. The individuals who helped Jimmy were just as excellent making sure we had what we needed as far as ingredients, had drinking water, and made sure to take pictures for us to have as memories when we were gone. All in all, this was a great experience and I would certainly do it again!

Jimmy is an excellent cooking instructor. She shares many important techniques and “tricks” for Thai food. The printed recipes she provides are detailed enough to make me feel confident I can reproduce at home what I learned in the class.
