Teatro La Fenice, monument description. The La Fenice Theater was inaugurated on 16 May 1792, it was the Sensa Festival. She rose twice from her own ashes and water. It was and is home to numerous world premieres of works by Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Britten, Nono, Maderna. In recent times Kagel, Guarnieri, Mosca, Ambrosini, Perocco.

The tour was varied and made very interesting. We saw places and pallazzi that we would not have found on our own and got a very good overview. We really enjoyed the tour with Fortunato Martino. He is competent and very personable.

I am of Italian descent, but unfortunately I do not speak Italian. During the tour Fortunato explained the Venetian art and culture to me. Fortunato is a reliable and punctual person, a choice I will make again when I return to Venice.

My girlfriend and I had a great day in Venice thanks to our tour guide. He was super friendly, prepared and made us discover beautiful places, even hidden corners away from the usual sightseeing.
