Rare Facts & Highlights: • 100% single-barrel, barrel-proof tastings • Whiskey is served directly from the aging barrel • No two tastings are ever the same • Set on a scenic working farm • One of the most interactive bourbon experiences in Kentucky A raw, authentic, and unforgettable hands-on bourbon stop.
Buffalo Trace Distillery
Buffalo Trace Distillery Tour and/or Tasting (1:30 m.) Visit the oldest continuously operating distillery in America, a true icon of Kentucky bourbon history. During Prohibition, Buffalo Trace never closed thanks to a federal license to produce medicinal whiskey. Today, it is the birthplace of some of the most sought-after bourbons in the world. Rare Facts & Highlights: • Home of legendary brands like Blanton’s, Eagle Rare, E.H. Taylor, Stagg & Pappy Van Winkle • Birthplace of the world’s first single-barrel bourbon • Built on ancient buffalo migration trails • Historic warehouses from the 1800s still in use • Barrel aging varies by floor for different flavor profiles Enjoy a guided tour through historic buildings and a curated tasting at the end.

🥃🥃 🥃🥃🥃 We had such a great day with Alex. From the beginning, communication was clear and easy, and everything felt smooth and relaxed. He tailored the day to us and shared the real Kentucky bourbon — the stories, the history, and a little local gossip. We laughed a lot too. Nothing felt rushed or forced. Just good bourbon and good conversation. Highly recommend — if you get Alex as your guide, you’ll discover a side of Kentucky you wouldn’t find on your own. And we still owe him that bourbon beer. 🥃

The tour guide was a no-show on the day of the tour. We booked a tour for Valentine's Day to see Buffalo Trace, Woodford, Bluegrass Distillery, and Jeptha Creed. The tour operator communicated well throughout the week before the tour, and even confirmed an 8:30 am pick up time at our hotel the morning of the tour. Then it slipped to 8:45 am. No big deal, still plenty of time. Then silence. Nothing. Wouldn't respond to texts, wouldn't answer or return calls. We made the 3.5 hour drive to Louisville specifically for this tour. At 10 am, we gave up waiting on him and luckily were able to find something else to do. We're still waiting on a refund from Viator, which they claim is to be refunded in full. As of the writing of this review, the tour operator still hasn't responded. No apology, no excuses, nothing. I'd avoid this one at all costs.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable bourbon day with The Bourbon Bites Tour. We came as a group of friends and left feeling like friends with our guide. His passion and deep knowledge of bourbon and Kentucky made the experience truly special. Buffalo Trace, Jeptha Creed, and Woodford Reserve — all fantastic stops. great vibes, and memories we’ll definitely repeat. See you again in July 🥃✨

Our tour guide Jorg was incredible and a wealth of information. He explained step by step what to expect at each tour. He enlightened us with a little history of Kentucky and was simply a joy. Each tour he procured for us created different experiences. One was about the history, the other about the pairing and how foods bring out flavors and one on the etiquette of drinking bourbon. I highly recommend this tour and if you get Jorg as your guide consider yourself very lucky.!

Amazing! This was our first tour of the trip, and Bourbon Bites truly set the bar. Our guide, Jorg, was professional, knowledgeable, and took us to some incredible distilleries in Bardstown. We even had the chance to enjoy lunch at The Bar at Willett — an AMAZING EXPERIENCE from start to finish!

Spectacular! We had an amazing private Bourbon Bites tour with our guide, Jorg. He took my husband and I to four different distilleries and shared a wealth of knowledge about bourbon history along the way. He was professional, friendly, and made us feel safe the entire time. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this tour—and Jorg—to anyone looking to explore Kentucky bourbon!
