This was a event that I didn’t want to do but got overruled on, the event is under water, it shows both the Maroi legend on how the lake was formed and the scientific reasons in great detail.

We wouldn't even known that Time Tripper was even there until someone pointed it out. We were absolutely blown away by it. A beautiful video which was very professionally made followed by the cutest ducks diving in front of you.

This was one of the best places I found to visit in queenstown it was a cold wet day but it was so nice and warm inside, the story was beautiful and being able to watch the local water life thrive while you relax in comfort was the best If you have children or just want to escape this is the best place to do it I will definitely be back to do this again

Presentation will be given by an overhead video projector in a theatre-style room located below the level of the lake. Before the screens are lowered, viewers in the theatre are treated to a variety of fish, eels and even diving ducks swimming (or diving) in the lake, through a window at the front, The audience are again provided this view at the end of the presentation, when they become even more active with a staff member dropping food into the water from the wharf above. A spectacular introduction and conclusion to a theatre viewing during which attendees are treated to a highly informative presentation of how Lake Wanaka came to be formed both in accord with Māori mythology and geographically. Adding to the presentation is the addition of vibrations of the seating at appropriate times and a visual viewing of three surrounding screen, providing a sense of being physically present.

Time tripper and underwater theater was very entertaining it's at k jet wharf in Queenstown starts with a video presentation on lake wakatipu and then turns into a time traveling experience back to 90 million years .then returns and curtains open and long fin ells and trout are outside feeding Clear windows for photos . It's not advertising alot as I was only person in theater on day I when $20 is very reasonable price

The attraction is one room under the pier with windows onto the harbour. Starts with 12 minute video about the pre history of the lake, geological past and Maori legends. This was ok but could have done so much more. The curtains raised and the fish were fed. Large fish, eels and ducks diving - really cool. However, we would have really liked a fish identification chart so we could know what we were looking for. We were out again in 20 minutes. Not worth $20.

This could have been so much better if the fish were clearly visible following the excellent film . I’m not sure if time was shortened due to a delay in people getting seated but we had nowhere near 15 mins of viewing at the end . The water was extremely cloudy and we saw no eels , just large fish and a few diving ducks. It all felt a bit flat and rather disappointing

This is an excellent experience. An immersive small cinema setting with educational content about the lake and Queenstown . Geological and mythical history, Dinosaurs , the ice age to the modern day . The cinema then transformed into an under lake viewing arena where large fish and ducks dive in front of you . Our host was Emma who was really helpful and knowledgeable. Good family experience about 30 minutes ?

Time Tripper is located off the lakeside promenade. You descend two flights of stairs under Lake Wakatipu. They show a 15 minute movie about what Queenstown looked like in the past, going back 90 million years. You see prehistoric creatures, including a frightening mosasaur. Then the screen lifts up to reveal four windows through which you can see underwater. They feed the animals so you can see diving ducks (teals), trout, and long-finned eels.

We loved it. We learned about the history of Queenstown. My son thought it was so much fun to see the fish, eels and ducks diving below the water. Go to Book Me online as the tickets were cheaper. I wod say this is the cheapest tourist attraction in Queenstown which is great!
