We will also give insider tips on where to visit after the tour, including the best places to eat, drink and visit - so that you can best optimize your stay.

What To Expect

Senate Square

The statue of Tsar Alexander the 2nd in the center of the Senate Square, marks the start point of the tour. This is the most historical part of Helsinki, and some say the most beautiful - with it's Russian Neoclassic architecture. Here we can see the Helsinki Cathedral, the University of Helsinki, and a great viewpoint of the Senate Square for photos.

Helsinki Cathedral

Following our visit to the Senate Square, our next stop is the White Helsinki Cathedral. Perhaps one of the most impressive buildings in Helsinki, it is also the most visited building. We will allow a little time to visit inside (providing there are no services or weddings), and we will allow time to take photos of this building so you have a souvenir to take home.

It was a very enriching and fun experience, 2h30 passed quickly! The guide Eero was very clear in his speech, funny with some jokes, and transmitted a lot of knowledge in this wonderful experience! Without Eero it would have been just another tour where I took some photos of monuments, but without all the knowledge and history that Eero kindly shared with us. Thank you very much Eero! I really enjoyed this tour of Helsinki thanks to you!

Our guide, Eero, was very knowledgeable and passionate about his city, and his country, He led us around the main attractions of Helsinki, and included places we would not have found on our own. His commentary was really interesting and well delivered, and he made suggestions of other places to visit during our stay. I highly recommend this walking tour. It was a great introduction to the city of Helsinki, and we now have our bearings for further exploring on our own.

Very interesting, well paced walking tour. Marius knew his stuff but was funny as well as factual. He answered questions as we went along and shared his own experiences of living in Finland. (Great food advice too!)

So enjoyed our walking tour today. Guide was very friendly, full of interesting info about life in Finland and historical info about its capital. It was relaxed with lots of laughter and questions answered.
