Asakusa
Asakusa (浅草) is the center of Tokyo's shitamachi (literally "low city"), one of Tokyo's districts, where an atmosphere of the Tokyo of past decades survives. Asakusa's main attraction is Sensoji, a very popular Buddhist temple, built in the 7th century. The temple is approached via the Nakamise, a shopping street that has been providing temple visitors with a variety of traditional, local snacks and tourist souvenirs for centuries.
Imperial Palace
This tour does not include access to the inside of the Imperial Palace** The current Imperial Palace is located on the former site of Edo Castle, a large park area surrounded by moats and massive stone walls in the center of Tokyo, a short walk from Tokyo Station. It is the residence of Japan's Imperial Family. Edo Castle used to be the seat of the Tokugawa shogun who ruled Japan from 1603 until 1867. In 1868, the shogunate was overthrown, and the country's capital and imperial residence were moved from Kyoto to Tokyo. In 1888 construction of a new Imperial Palace was completed. The palace was once destroyed during World War Two, and rebuilt in the same style, afterwards.

We are a gay couple, but our guide treated us like real friends and didn’t make a big deal about it. They took us to a special sukiyaki restaurant I had always wanted to try. This tour gave us confidence, memories, and a real connection with the city. The four hours went by so fast.

We had the experience of a simple tea ceremony and eating soba noodles!! We were able to drink matcha and taste authentic soba! The atmosphere of the soba restaurant was especially great, and we were glad we left it to our guide!

My husband and I were nostalgic and wanted an authentic pub crawl that wasn't touristy. We filled out a questionnaire beforehand and the tour company sent us the itinerary. They took us to even more amazing places than we could have ever imagined. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to experience the real Japan!

Booking this tour was the smartest choice we made. It saved us time, gave us insights, and made the rest of our trip easier. We were taken to a beautiful Japanese garden, a tonkatsu restaurant we would never have found, and a town where fashion and music meet, and I got to buy a record I've always wanted. I'd like to thank the company and our guide, Riko, for providing us with a wonderful tour that perfectly combined my gardening loving friend and my hobbies.

Everything from the schedule to the restaurant fit us perfectly. Having a private guide made the experience feel exclusive and easy. Since it was my first day in Japan, I was glad that I was given information on convenient transportation and recommended shops! I highly recommend this to anyone on their first day in Japan!
