Senso-ji Temple
Senso-ji, located in the heart of Tokyo's Asakusa district, is not just a temple; it's a cultural icon. As Tokyo's most famous and oldest temple, it holds a rich history dating back over 1,300 years. As you explore the temple grounds, you'll be captivated by the stunning architecture and the vibrant atmosphere. The Nakamise-dori, a bustling street leading to the temple, is lined with traditional shops and stalls offering a variety of souvenirs and local snacks. But our journey goes beyond the typical tourist path. We'll also stroll through Kappa-bashi-dori, a local favorite known for its unique shops and eateries. This is where the locals gather, adding a touch of authenticity to your Senso-ji experience. Join us for a blend of history, spirituality, and local charm at Senso-ji Temple, an iconic destination that beautifully encapsulates the essence of Tokyo.
Meiji Jingu Shrine
Nestled in the heart of Tokyo, Meiji Shrine stands as a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling city. Dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, this Shinto shrine is a testament to Japan's rich imperial history. As you enter through the majestic torii gate, you'll find yourself surrounded by a lush forest, providing a serene escape from the urban energy. The shrine's architecture is a blend of simplicity and grandeur, offering a glimpse into Japan's spiritual heritage. Our journey to Meiji Shrine is not just about history; it's a cultural immersion. After exploring the sacred grounds, we'll venture to Takeshita Street in Harajuku, the epicenter of youth culture. Here, vibrant fashion, eclectic shops, and trendy cafes create a lively atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination in Tokyo. Join us as we traverse the spiritual and cultural dimensions of Tokyo, from the tranquil Meiji Shrine to the dynamic energy of Harajuku's Takeshita Street.

We had a great time with our Tour Guide, Moeka, on our day tour. She spoke English exceptionally well. Would highly recommend her for all your trips to Tokyo. She helped us with Temple, Shrine, and local customs. Along with helping us with navigating the city transit system.

Shota was an engaging, young man and an informative tour guide. His knowledgeable commentary on the sites we visited together with the cultural anecdotes made the visits more memorable and enjoyable. He adapted the tour to a pace that suited me and accommodated my desire to have a Ramen lunch. All in all a wonderful cultural experience. I felt by the end of the tour I had made a good friend!

Together with Sherilyn, we visited both a piece of historical and above all modern Tokyo. Sherilyn has guided us through both “Tokyo” and provided us with many exciting insights. She was also able to respond to our wishes at short notice and was very flexible. We got our money's worth in the tour and due to her humorous and very warm nature it felt like a tour among friends. We would do it exactly the same every time -:)

I was gifted this experience by my parents as a birthday gift so I had no real idea of what to expect. All the planning was done very conviniently over WhattsApp and it was very easy to communicate and customise the tour to my liking. On the day I was greeted by my tourguide Ayuko who was very friendly and kind to me. She showed me around Meiji Shrine and the closeby areas of Shibuya before we went for a nice lunch in a local Izekaya. Afterwards we went out and found ourselfs in the Shinyuku Gyoen Park to enjoy the nature and have a little bit of a cultural exchange. It was very easy to talk to her as her english was very good and getting to know each other a little bit was fun. Ending the tour we went to a nice cafe to unwind and have some sweets. All in all 5 hours very well spent. I can only recommend this tour to anyone looking to spend some time with a local who knows their way around. And if you meet Ayuko say hi from me. Vinzenz

We are so happy to provide an excellent review of our Walking tour guide, Moeka. We spent an entire day walking the sites and important highlights . She is very knowledgeable of the Tokyo customs and history. We did get a little rain and she provided alternate from the itinerary. Moeka also provided valuable information about areas and shared lots of areas to explore for the duration of our trip. We all found her to be very sweet, communicated easily and she felt like part of our group by the end of the day. Highly recommend Moeka and Tamami for tour guide.

Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. She spoke fluent English and Japanese and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She would go anywhere we showed interest in even if it wasn’t part of the original tour. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to anyone in Tokyo.

Yoshiko was so friendly, helpful and accommodating from the moment we met her and throughout the tour. We were able to see the points we were most interested in for the time we had available with her navigating us through Shinagawa station to each of the destinations we had chosen. We left our lunch selection up to her and were quite pleased with her choice…it was absolutely delicious. Her historical and cultural knowledge was much appreciated for each place we visited. We will never forget the wonderful memories we created with her today and highly recommend her to anyone visiting Tokyo!

We booked a 6 hour private tour with Sherilyn. This was our first full day in Japan and we were super jet lagged, Sherilyn was so good to us and kept it really relaxed and went at our pace, it really felt like a friend was showing you around some Tokyo neighbourhoods! Sherilyn even helped guide us to get set up with Suica cards and found us a place where we could transfer vouchers our travel agency gave us for our JRP passes. She even passed on extra recommendations and links to places we could see and eat at over the rest of our stay in Tokyo.

Shun-san was our guide for a custom tour taking in Asakusa, Senso-ji temple and shrine, a Japanese bbq lunch, Ueno Park including the shrine and a Dahlia display that was on at the time. We also visited the Nippori fabric district and Yanaka Ginza. Shun-san was an excellent guide and very accommodating. He helped us to understand local customs, the history behind the places and sites we visited and was great in helping us with handy Japanese phrases. I highly recommend this custom private tour.
