A professional English speaking tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the killing fields of Choeung Ek Genocide Center – 9 miles away south of Phnom Penh. The infamous killing fields have a bloody history. Once an orchard and a

Chinese cemetery, the Khmer Rouge, lead by Pol Pot, turned the place into

what became known as the killing fields, where they executed around 2.000 prisoners. Over three years, they massacred and buried 2.5 million people. After remembering the dead, return to Phnom Penh to visit Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21). Meaning hill of the poisonous trees, Pol Pot turned a once popular high school into a high security prison. 20,000 people were imprisoned there, many of whom were tortured for information. Today it serves as a museum and a reminder of darker days.

Mr Baboon and Mr Tea were very kind and informative. They'll provide you with water throughout the whole trip. They'll pick you up at your hotel or at a meeting point. As for me, I chose the meeting point since its a min walk from my hotel. They were right on time and on schedule. Along the bus drive, Mr Baboon gave us a brief historical background of the country, gave some tips, and also a restaurant recommendation. He is humorous and funny. The tour was precisely 4 hrs max. We started at the killing fields since it was a bit father from the city center. The last desti was the S-21 prison. The whole tour was very informative. Highly recommended tour. Please bear in mind, the tour is not something fun or exciting. The tour tells the dark history of the Cambodian people, so just a heads up, show respect in how you take pictures and your way of clothing. Taking a solo or group picture with the skeletons as a backdrop and smiling is not the way to show respect.

This tour covers a very heavy subject. Baboon was an excellent guide. He has a personal connection to the sites, which increased the meaningfulness of the experience. The whole morning was very smooth. I definitely recommend this company and guide :)

This is an honest genuine exposure to some of Cambodias darkest times. Baboon, our guide, was excellent and he really wanted us to see and feel. His knowledge of the history as well as the current day made this very interesting.

Be prepared for uncomfortable sights and unpleasant commentary, but be sure to go. The guide was very knowledgeable, harsh and honest.

We were honoured to meet two survivors from this horrible event and it was unbelievable the level of inhuman cruelty that occurred
