Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Stroll through a cave-like entrance, one of Monkey Forest best-kept secrets as well as Dragon Bridges with beautiful banyan trees and ancient temples that are believed to be inspired by the tree of life from the 'Avatar' movie by James Cameron. Continue to Pura Beji, an ancient bathing temple which can be accessed by going down a flight of stairs and next to a stream. Reach the 14th century Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal which is dedicated to village funerals and acts as another playground of the macaques. Stop to take a selfie with a monkey that you can share with friends and family on social media.

2.00Great visit to the forest, and the driver was very friendly, but there was no guided tour and entrance ticket is not included in the price. You’re basically just overpaying for a pick-up and drop-off to the monkey forest.
