The Sistine Chapel, located within the Vatican Museums, is one of the world's most renowned artistic masterpieces. Famous for its extraordinary ceiling painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512, the Chapel features biblical scenes, including the Creation of Adam, one of the most iconic paintings in art history. In addition to the ceiling, the walls of the Sistine Chapel are adorned with frescoes by great Renaissance artists such as Botticelli, Perugino, and Ghirlandaio. Another masterpiece by Michelangelo, The Last Judgment, dominates the altar wall, depicting the second coming of Christ and the final judgment of souls. The Sistine Chapel is not only an artistic marvel but also a place of great religious significance, used for the conclave, the election of the Pope. Visiting the Sistine Chapel offers an unforgettable experience of immersion in the grandeur and spirituality of Renaissance art.

Great easy pick up of tickets opposite Vatican museums. We were greeted with a happy smile and clear instructions. Nice and easy and could go around museum at our own pace rather than a self guided tour. We purchased our own self guided audio at own cost- approx 8 euros.

Booked this last minute. Didn’t want to stand in line for tickets. Met the tour guide outside of Vatican and obtained tickets easily. Stood in line for our time slot for maybe 10 min and went right in. That was nice. Vatican itself was soooo busy inside. Takes the beauty away to be honest. The Sistine chapel was absolutely packed. Really unfortunate. Standing shoulder to shoulder with people. People talking the whole time. Glad I saw it but would never go back. Way too touristy.

Tour operator not a meeting point at meet up time. Did call after we gave up and left, accused me of not being there, very rude. We did have other tours booked and they were great during our trip. Don't always believe Viator is the only option.
