Visit and experience Victoria, British Columbia’s capital city on this full day narrated tour. We start from downtown Vancouver and travel south through the city and drive on-board a BC Ferry for a 90-minute voyage across the Georgia Strait through the scenic Southern Gulf Islands.
The tour continues to the world famous Butchart Gardens which is a National Historic Site of Canada. You’ll find remnants of the original cement plant, millions of bedding plants in over 900 varieties within the over 50 acres of stunning gardens. Enjoy 2 leisurely hours and fully explore one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. After the gardens, head to downtown Victoria through Canada’s oldest China Town and the scenic Victoria Harbour—including the Inner Harbour—one of the most beautiful harbours in the world. You will have additional free time to explore the local area; stroll the Inner Harbour, take in the thriving arts and cultural scene, visit the historic Empress Hotel or the Royal BC Museum.

Our trip with driver & guide Dan was great! He was informative and entertaining. We viewed parts of Vancouver following our hotel pickup on our way to the ferry. Ferry crossing was easy. But chart Gardens were so beautiful. Also had tine in Victoria to see a few things and dine along the water front. I was a bit confused by the pickup time at the arranged hotel. (I think just my problem as everyone else in that group was on time). I thought the pickup time was 9:00 am as stated when I made the booking. But Viatour updates I was getting that morning said 9:15. That is the time the tour starts at the final pickup location. My mistake, but it was confusing. So…be alert. Highly recommend this tour. It’s a long day, but well worth it!!

Tour guide Dan very knowledgeable of Vancouver, Victoria and Buchart Gardens. Long day but goes by very quickly. Dan keeps everyone informed of restrooms, food & beverage opportunities and when to return to stay on schedule.

Justin, the youngest bus driver in the west is just outstanding. If you get him you really just need to be at the right place at the right time, and you will have a super day. Very comfortable bus, loads of room and safe during stops. Justin starts talking when we get on and stops on the way back, in the evening for snoozes. He drives his bus (huge, large, white) so smoothly, weaving between lanes and obstacles, not taking any stick from BMW’s! Like an owl, he is able to see 270 degrees while driving, so bald eagles on poles (2) coyotes stalking the motorway (1), magnificent herons basking with a family of turtles in passing woods were all spotted and pointed out. Full history of Canada, Vancouver and Butchart gardens was imparted at a very digestible pace along with road and building observations as we glided through the suburbs. All stops were planned and described with precision and the journey proceeded like a well oiled machine. Butchart gardens were just the most amazing gardens. I almost can’t Walt to get home and start weeding and planting. Absolute must see. Then on the Victoria for coffee stop, then crossing back on the golden ferry (sunsetting views). I must say, we have come late to aviator but all experiences have been top draw. Planned and excited to perfection.

Excellent adventure! Fun! Started with our driver Mark, funny and knowledgeable, made the trip so fun, Long day but we had a great city type tour on our way to the ferry then a beautiful ferry ride, very picturesque and once we ported and went to the buchart gardens it was breathtaking! City of Victoria was absolutely the cap to our day! Stunning
