We had a great time kayaking and hiking to the falls. The river was gentle and easy to paddle. Perfect for a cloudy day since the temperature was comfortable and it rained which was also nice. That said, it was very muddy and there were a few items of gear that were key- water shoes (got them from the little store at the check-in), hiking poles (very helpful for the mud and stream/river crossings, and rain poncho. If I had been planning to swim in the falls I would have definitely brought a change of clothes or dry swimsuit to hike back in (no private changing areas so must be strategic). Lindsey, our guide, was perfect- very nice, down to earth, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a lovely time!

What an awesome experience, would definitely recommend to anybody able-bodied enough to participate (do not underestimate the endurance and balance required). Lindsey was a great guide, so glad I was matched with her. A few tips: -Leave the hiking boots at home, you’ll be better served with water shoes -Think you’re too cool for a hiking stick? You’re not. I promise. When your guide offers one, simply say, “yes, thank you.” -If traveling during a rainy season, prepare to get muddy, but don’t let that deter you!

Our guide, Lindsey, was fantastic! She was very personable and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. The kayaking was much easier than we anticipated, and the hike, while a bit slippery in spots, was moderately challenging and very enjoyable. We loved having lunch and taking time to soak in the beauty of the waterfall. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone.

We had an awesome time with Harrison as our guide. It was a muddy mess after the rain they had but it was a great way to start the New Year off right. Harrison was very knowledgeable of the history and nature. I would highly recommend this tour with your family. Dry bag was provided, lunch was yummy, I would recommend not wearing anything white and wear closed toe shoes you don’t mind ruining just incase it’s super muddy.

Kayaking was beautiful. After getting used to it we did okay as we had very little experience kayaking. The guide Harrison was very friendly and knowledgeable and did warn us about how muddy the hike would be due to all the rain so we knew what we were getting into. It was actually less than expected. Good footwear or water shoes are a must. We bought some at Walmart for $10 and they were perfect. The hike through the forest area was slippery at points but everyone took there time and no falls or injuries. The waterfall was fantastic, no cell service there it was so peaceful. Really enjoyed this experience.

Lindsey was a great guide! A dry bag was provided for our things (thankfully no mishaps!) and it was a nice day on the water and a beautiful hike! Good exercise but not super strenuous.

The river was beautiful, the trip there and back just the right amount of time spent paddling, our time at the waterfall was serene, and Lindsey was an exceptional tour guide. We learned so much from her, she took some photos for us, as our phones were tucked away safely in our dry bags, and paced everything perfectly.

This was all what we had hoped for. Our guide was full of knowledge and patient with everyone. The hike was not too difficult. Having the walking sticks were helpful. Definitely an enjoyable day.

It is an excellent use of a day on Kauai, if you want to experience something natural and active. It would be easy for people to underestimate the level of activity involved... it is a pretty active outing. The hiking trail is not overly strenuous, but it is challenging due to mud, rocks, roots etc. But fun ! Our guide Lindsey was a great partner on the trip. Very informative, and really engaging and fun. Just the right level of interaction, and conversation.
