This small-group walking experience offers an introduction to everyday life in Nadi, guided by a local professional with deep knowledge of Fiji’s culture, history, and communities.
Walking through town allows us to slow down and experience the places where daily life happens. Along the way, we visit the Sri Subramaniya Temple, the farmers market, local handicraft spaces, and creative community areas, using each stop to explore how history, religion, food, and community living shape modern Fiji.
Group sizes are intentionally kept small to encourage conversation, flexibility, and a relaxed pace. The experience is ideal for travelers who want cultural understanding, meaningful local interaction, and a thoughtful orientation to Fiji early in their stay.

Fantastic experience!! John was an excellent guide! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative! During our trip, the temple unfortunately was closed to visitors, but our guide was kind enough to make up for it by treating us to refreshments at the local Indian restaurant and some local fruit at the market. He also gave us some travel tips and showed us around an art gallery to finish off the tour. I was admittedly a bit nervous going in, but the tour guide did a fantastic job to ease those nerves and was even kind enough to take a picture for me. Would highly recommend the experience!

Excellent walking tour of Nadi. It was great to learn about the daily life in the markets and Maya our guide recommended fruits to try. We ended at the temple which is beautiful.

John was an excellent guide, explaining all the expected sites we visited and history and how Nadi has developed. It is a walking tour and it was quite hot and humid the day we went, but it was well worth the time spent. John took time to care for us as if we were family!

John was an excellent guide, full of information about the history, culture and current affairs of Fiji. An experienced and retired member of the Fijian tourist industry, he gave us a lot of information during the tour and also answered all of our questions. He was also kind and flexible when we stopped to get a snack, which we appreciated immensely. We highly recommend this tour on your first or second day in fiji to start your trip with a helpful orientation to the country and town and if you want to feel like a local friend is taking you around their town. Thank you so much John!
