Garenba was an excellent guide, as we learned about his culture, hiked the forest and hunted crabs with our spears. He and his family made us feel at home as they cooked up our catch, which we ate on the shore of a beautiful stream in the rain forest. This was a great adventure that we’ll always remember!

Have done a lot of great tours on this trip but nothing like this. Truly memorable experience. Our guide, Chase, clearly wanted to make it so and that shone through in everything she did on the day. Very engaging and informative. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Juan was an excellent guide as to local aboriginal traditions, culture, and relationship with nature. The hunt for crabs at low tide and in the mangrove forest was a highlight. The traditional food was delicious as well. The swim in the creek in the rainforest was a perfect end to the day.

Enjoyed the wealth of knowledge that Chase shared with us. Spent time on the coast, in Daintree Forest and at her grandfather home where there were a lot of indigenous artifacts.

Chaseley was our guide. She was interesting and very informative. We learned about Aboriginal culture, their medicines, their community structure, child-raising, and methods of collecting/ hunting food. Learned about the way the Aborigines were treated by the European immigrants. A very good experience!

This is a must do experience. The tour was fun, beautiful and educational. Our guide, Chaseley, was so generous with her knowledge and her time. She adjusted the tour to maximise our enjoyment, stopping so we could take photos of a crocodile (from a distance of course). Having an indigenous context added so much to the natural environment. It was really ‘hands-on’ and engaging. This was the best experience of my time in Port Douglas.

Very highly recommend! Pick up from hotel. Small group. Aaron personalized to what people were interested in. He has extensive personal and family knowledge of bush tucker and medicinal plants, local area, history, wildlife, plants, people… He kindly took a little detour so we could see fruit bats hanging in trees and found us a lizard camouflaged on a tree in Mossman Gorge (my requests). The business is indigenous owned and run.

I've waited so long to join one of these tours and finally had the chance in the school holidays. It quickly became a highlight of our trip to Tropical North Queensland.
