From Puerto Pirámides we embark to navigate the New Gulf. The objective is to achieve the maximum possible approach: although our boat is faster than the whales, we never force the approach but we respect its will.

Each sighting is unique and unrepeatable so we cannot anticipate what kind of encounter we will have: these cetaceans are in their natural habitat and with absolute freedom!

What To Expect

Boats for whale watching depart from Puerto Pirámides (100 km from Puerto Madryn). The captain and specialized crew will introduce passengers to the interpretation of the coastal and marine ecosystem, and will be assisted by bilingual auxiliary on-board personnel. This navigation is cataloged as the one with the greatest naturalistic enjoyment of the Valdés Peninsula, during its development we will learn about the biological cycle of whales: mating, birth and breeding of the whale calf. Observation: This navigation can be done with the Peninsula Valdes excursion or with the Whales Only Excursion.
