If you like Madeira wine, a typical lunch with espadatas, pastel del nata, biscuits and poncha then this tour is for you. Along with information about Madeiran culture and history this is a great way to spend 4 hours in the company of a knowledgeable guide.

Spent a wonderful afternoon with Jacqueline and another couple on this tour. We learnt so much from her about Madeira's culture and history and enjoyed the most delicious food and wine at really fantastic restaurants. We had not met the other couple prior to the trip but it really did end up feeling like an afternoon out with good friends! We were in Madeira to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and the tour was one of the highlights of our holiday. Ended up trying all sorts of food that I would probably not normally have picked and enjoyed absolutely everything on the menu. Would thoroughly recommend this tour and company.

Guide Ana talks straight from her heart about all the goodies Madeira has to offer and also about the history of Funchal and the island. In 6 stops you eat and drink so much goodies. The highlight is lunch at Jakets. Highly recommended this tour!

We had a truly wonderful time on the Gourmet Wine & Food Tour in Funchal. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious – from local specialties to unique Madeiran wines. Each stop was carefully selected and offered something new and exciting. Our guide, Anna, was amazing – so knowledgeable and passionate about the history and culture of Funchal. She told us so many interesting stories and fun facts that made the walk even more engaging. It felt like a beautiful stroll through the heart of the city combined with a deep and tasty cultural immersion. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira!

What an amazing experience, this tour is a must do early on in your trip to Madeira, it gives you a fantastic overview of all the fruits, and dishes that are synonymous with Madeiran Cusine. The Foods that you try are all freshly prepared, trying fresh fruits, eating tasty chocolates, biscuits & cakes, local wines with a selection of cured meats & local cheeses. Finishing off in a restaurant by trying all the local dishes that you may expect to see on most if not all menu’s.around the Island. Washing that all that down with the local Poncha tipple Anna’s tour wasn’t just a food extravaganza, it was an informative, historic insight into Funchal’s history and architecture. 4 hours of winding your way round the narrow cobbled streets of Funchal sampling the finest that Madeira has to offer was not only great value for money but a good way to understand your holiday destination and all it has to offer.
