Itsukushima Shrine
A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mt. Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo.
Miyajima
Time for lunch is allotted on Miyajima. This region is known for oysters, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and conger eel rice bowl, which are available at many shops on Miyajima. Customers are free to enjoy their preferred meals. *Lunch is not included in the tour booking charge.

It was well managed and our guide was knowledgable and the driver was very helpful and provided water bottles on a muggy day. The time allowed for each site was sufficient .

That was a wonderful tour. Masako was our tour guide. She is so kind, patient, and explained well. She took pics of us and for that I was thankful. After the tour finished she accompanied us to the train station and ensured we were on the right train. Book this tour and make sure to get Masako.

Wonderful tour of Miyajima. Our guide Azusa was expert at getting us great photos so it looked like we were the only ones there! She was also very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We loved her funny jokes. Great time!
