The trip fully met our expectations. Our tour guide, Omar, was absolutely amazing with his knowledge of the area and assisting us in getting the photos.

I had a generally pleasant evening on the Nile, enjoying music aboard a boat. However, calling it a "cruise" is a bit of a stretch. The boat merely sailed out of the port, moving very slowly, maybe just 1 km away from the shore and back. It felt more like a river experience than an actual cruise where you could see iconic Cairo landmarks from the water. The program was tight and well-timed, starting with dinner and followed by three performances: a singer, Turkish dancers, and Egyptian belly dancers. I ended up eating a little and then heading to the upper deck, as I preferred to relax rather than stay in the loud hall where the performances took place. This activity is very affordable for tourists (costing $11), and the price includes hotel transfer both ways. Our guide, Ahmed, was very friendly and took great care of our group, which was transported in several cars. One thing to watch out for: as someone who enjoys cooking, I found the buffet food to be overly salty. All dishes, including meat, fish, and salads, had the same level of seasoning. The idea seems to be to make you thirsty, and it certainly works. However, the prices for drinks (which weren’t included in the attraction) were about ten times higher than in a store. A small bottle of water cost 100 EGP, which was the cheapest option, and prices for juices and sodas went up from there. Be aware that, while almost everything else is included, you might end up with a bill for $10... $20... $30 for drinks, as you'll likely become quite thirsty. I recommend bringing your own water—it's your right. The upper deck was very pleasant, although you’ll need to find a spot away from the cigarette smoke. This is a common issue in Egypt, where smoking is widespread, and if you want to avoid it, it can be challenging. I wouldn't choose this attraction again, and I regret not having booked another, more genuine cruise earlier. However, the organization was well-managed, with a friendly atmosphere, and that aspect definitely deserves top marks. Just be sure to understand the nature of the attraction so you're not caught off guard.

If the music is loud and you want to lift your spirits at the beginning of your trip, this is the place for you. Music so loud that we couldn't hear each other was exhausting. I think this is an activity for those who want to have a good time rather than those who want to enjoy a relaxing meal.

Hotel pick up time was spot on, the driver and the host were exceptional. The boat was lovely, plenty of food and a good variety. The entertainment was fantastic, and the views of the Nile were excellent I would highly recommend this trip, which is really good value for money
