Our guide, Jordan, for Delphi was not good but our guide, Kenya (sp?) for Meteora was good. Jordan was not able to explain things that well and he could not tie the history together. It felt like he was rambling on. Plus, he smelled and also did not explain how lunch would work for those of us continuing on to Meteora. We ended up buying lunch at Delphi but had we known lunch would be at the next stop, we could have gone to the museum. For Meteora, the hotel was fine but it would have been nicer to stay somewhere closer to the villages. Our hotel felt like it was in the middle of nowhere with nothing close by or in walking distance. While not a part of this tour, it would have been nice to have gotten to see the sunset at Meteora.

There is no doubt that Delphi and Meteora are amazing destinations with great history and fantastic vistas. It is a long way from Athens and this mass-tourist experience is fair way of seeing them at a reasonable price. Our guide for the Meteora was great.

This trip was a once in a lifetime Must See! The weather was extremely hot (95+ degrees Farenheit) and only 2 out of the 4 of us made it to the top of the Delphi ruins. The monasteries were amazing as well. Our tour guide spoke French/English fluently and was very knowledgeable and informative of the history. The hotel (3 star) was exceptional -- accommodations, food, staff, etc. The only suggestion I have would be to tell participants to pack swimming apparel as there was a pool at the hotel and we did not plan for this. Given the extreme temperatures, it would have been nice to take a swim in the evening.
