We went right after new years and not a lot of of usual places and stops for food were not open. Our guide was great Giovanny and spent time showing us history of La Paz, pointing out different plants etc. He was very kind and the day was fun. There were 2 other couples in our group. Overall the tour helped us feel comfortable in the city and finding different foods to try and order.

This was an excellent tour. I like it when culinary tours include a lot of information about the local culture and this tour did so. We discussed the importance of cocoa historically, and ended up in the art museum to see a mural about the history of La Paz. I had wanted to go to that museum so ending their was an unexpected bonus. The foods we tried were street food for locals - places I would never have found on my own. I thought it was a great experience.

Hidden gem! Don’t miss it. Juan Carlos and Cinthia, our bilingual guides, shared their fave spots for empanadas, tacos, burritos, churros and cacao. Also took us to a butcher shop, farmer’s market, some hidden parks and gave us a history lesson besides.

The tour was interesting, with history and information about LaPaz, and the food was great. We went to several interesting places: a shark taco stand, a butcher shop that had good machaka (spelling?) which is dried shredded beef. We also went to try empanadas and burritos. The tour is a great way to learn about the city and food. Advice: come hungry and willing to try something new. Bring a water bottle. Juan Pablo and Cynthia did a great job.

There is considerable walking. Our guide AJ made opportunities for several breaks for rests so we were comfortable. Food experiences were great.

Best food tour yet. Thoughtful and knowledgeable progression through the eras of people and time byway of food. Great way to start your time in La Paz.
