What To Expect
Get comfortable while we head over to the Whale Shark refuge area; it will be a short boat ride from the Marina where you will be given a quick briefing and the rules to protect these magnificent fish. Put your wetsuit and snorkeling gear on, and be ready to be amazed. Now it is time to jump in the water and have a close encounter with these docile creatures in their natural habitat. Our experienced and certified Captains and Guides will make sure you have a lifetime experience. Live this unbelievable experience with us and scratch it off your bucket list! IMPORTANT INFORMATION Only 14 boats are allowed per turn, with 4 daily turns: 7 am, 9 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm. For the 7 am and 9 am turns, we request spots via WhatsApp the day before at 3 pm, and spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If we don’t secure a morning slot, we request a spot for the 12 pm or 2 pm turns the next morning. We will get in contact with you if we don’t get the desired turn to let you know the turn we got assigned. Please plan your schedule accordingly.

5.00We arrived by cruise ship and the communication between Tuna Tuna tours was prompt and so helpful. I was concerned about getting to the activity on time and the tour group reassured me that we would get to the location in plenty of time. We were promptly greeted and checked in. We were the first group to check in and had plenty of time to use the very clean restrooms nearby. Out Captain was Alejandro and our marine biologist was Maritza. There were eight in our group and Maritza quickly got us all equipped with a wet suit, snorkel and fins quickly and efficiently. Once we were off all steps were clearly explained to us and Maritza was an excellent guide. One person in our group was not a strong swimmer and Maritza made sure she was comfortable and personally made sure the guest felt safe and had a chance to swim with the whale shark. Maritza’s directions and the Captains boat skills both ensured that all small groups on board had a wonderful experience. Each group had three opportunities to swim with the whale sharks. It truly was an amazing experience and we were lucky to have an excellent crew to guide us.

5.00This tour exceeded our expectations! Our guide Christian and our captain Javier were amazing, always friendly and taking the time to explain everything. Espiritu Santo is a magical place, and being able to connect with nature in this way was undoubtedly the best thing about our trip to La Paz. The most beautiful thing about the tour was swimming with the sea lions, a truly magical experience. Also, snorkeling and watching the marine life was spectacular. Lunch was delicious... the best tuna tuna! We would definitely book a tour with them again. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

5.00We had a great time, we got so close to the sea lions! Our lunch at the beach was delicious. Marcos and Cristian were very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, they made this fantastic experience even better. We felt like the time we had in each place was perfect. We would definitely recommend going with Tuna Tuna on your next adventure

4.00Captain and crew were terrific! Boat was clean and comfortable. The Whale Sharks were not very accomodating but we did have one siting. I will say you need to be a good swimmer to get the most out of this excursion. I would totally recommend Tuna Tuna.

5.00We were really impressed with this outfit! The weather had been really windy and they handled the updates and rescheduling professionally. On the tour our guide Stephany and the captain Juan Carlos went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience and Stephany was incredibly knowledgable. We also really appreciated their respect for the environment and wild life. The weather was cooler so a light jacket and long sleeve shirt were needed. Swimming with the whale sharks and snorkeling with sea lions was an unforgettable experience.
