The tour was wonderful. Bob drew upon his and his family's multi-generational experience to paint a fascinating and very instructive picture of the Chinese in Vancouver and B.C. over 150 plus years. Bob took us through the Chinese gardens, new local museums and many different shops, explaining what we saw. The food stops - Chinese BBQ, savory and sweet pastries and dim sum - were delicious. The tea shop, which ended our tour, was a not-to-be-missed event. In all, one of best tours ever!

The tour had meaningful cultural information in addition to great food. But Bob serving as a guide for the area, culture, and food was the highlight of the tour.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on our Wok Around Chinatown tour. Not only was it a food tour, but included culinary history and cultural backgrounds. Our guide, Bob, was so informative and made the tour much more than just a food tour. Highly recommend.

Bob’s tour of Chinatown was fantastic! Bob cultivated community within our group and gave us a truly authentic experience. Bob is deeply rooted in the community and was known to many people who greeted him by name. The food was delicious and abundant and I can’t think of how the tour could have been better!

Our afternoon w/Bob was fantastic. We learned so much about the Chinese Canadian culture & food and visited places we would have never found/gone to on our own. At each it was truly like having a personal docent with us. Also the food was wonderful (& a lot... ). He is so knowledgeable about both history and current events, places in Vancouver. Cannot recommend this highly enough! Book it now.

I’ve been on food tours all over the world and this was one of the best. Bob is an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide with deep roots in the community. I was not anticipating the breadth of historical information he presented. It was so interesting that time flew by. My only complaint was that I got too full to eat very much of the delicious dim sum lunch. Pace yourself :)

Wok around Chinatown was very informative and visited a number of locations with options to further view museums after the tour. Our tour guide Kenson was very engaging and responsive to questions regarding the history of Chinese Canadians since the 1880s. Feel that I came away having a greater appreciation of Chinese culture and well fed with delicious Chinese food and tea. Highly Recommend!!

We had a limited time to explore the area on our last day in Vancouver, and Bob did a wonderful job explaining the history, food and customs of Chinese Canadians - compressing a great deal of information and experience into a few hours. We gained so much more from this tour than we would have from wandering on our own. Highly recommend!

We had a great time with Bob. I really liked his emphasis on the history of the Chinese in Canada. The way that their culture influences so many aspects of their lives is really interesting. The food portion of the tour was very tasty. We were pleasantly full but not overstuffed at the end. We should have taken advantage of Bob's offer to get us started on the best route back to downtown. We managed to wander into a very uncomfortable area before we found our way

A really great experience. Bob Sung gave us a an excellent introduction to Chinese history and culture, along with a lot of delicious food. The Chinese Cultural center at the beginning of the tour is lovely and he explains the significance of each aspect of it. You will have a wonderful time and plenty to eat. A real pleasure.
