Chinatown in Vancouver is in decay with a good bit of "street" people and lots of empty buildings, which puts a damper on the tour. The historical part was interesting, if you like that. The food part was kind of simplistic: waiting outside places to have a platter of food and a toothpick passed around to participants. A Dim Sum sit down lunch was ok but kind of rushed. Our tour guide was very nice and the information he shared was interesting.

We did the food tour on August 2nd and had a great time. This tour really is a 4 hour tour where you learn a lot about Chinese Canadian culture and history while also sampling different items from around Chinatown. Bob was a great tour guide and was able to weave the food and the culture into a great afternoon. By the end of the tour we were stuffed.
