  This tour was the only bad experience I had while in the UAE. Everything was ok until the guide took me to the market where they try charge me over $200 for curry and a pack of dates. I told them I won’t pay that much and guide told me “when I bring other tourist here they pay that price willingly”. He then pretty much got on phone calls for the rest of the tour and I couldn’t wait to get home. Before the tour was over the guide ask you to give them 5 stars and stare you down until you do. I was a solo female traveler so i didn’t want to cause too much conflict. Ended up doing the mosque tour with another guide on another day because I didn’t want this experience ruined for me.

  Was a really great day, not 100% as advertised, didn't go to Marina Mall for 360° views of Abu Dhabi at lunchtime, instead dropped at row of shops with choice of buffet Arabic or buffet Indian, and the Cultural museum was a sales ploy to buy a decorative rug.

  The tour operator contacted me ahead and provided the details of the pickup and the package. A very organized tour package and worth for the price paid. The tour guide Vishnu was excellent and was continuously explaining the details of different locations through out the tour. I would give A++ for this package.

  I booked this tour about a week before it happened, but by day before, had not heard details regarding pickup. After reaching out to both the tour operator and Viator, I finally got a time range, provided around 9pm the night before, and then a final time after midnight. The guide was late - I know he cannot control traffic. But the first stop was to get gas - that should have been done before picking up guests. The vehicle was in poor condition - handles missing, dashboard warning light going off the whole day, etc. The guide himself was very nice and seemed quite knowledgeable. Time at grand mosque was not long enough as it takes a good thirty minutes just to get into the mosque. I was disappointed that the listing on Viator said the tour included the presidential palace but we only saw that from afar even though listing said admission included. I was also disappointed that we only had one option for lunch (and it was not good and cost 69 AED) - again the listing showed we should have been taken to Marina Mall where I would guess there would be plenty of choices. Please note the quoted time of 8-10 hours includes the drive back and forth - the actual tour in Abu Dhabi was only six hours. I hope this does not count against the guide as he was knowledgeable but viator or Navita tours really needs to offer a refund to me on this one.
