When you order the wine...

3.00When you order the wine and cheese pkg you get exactly that. A paper bag with a container of cheese and a container of nuts. You get your choice of a bottle or rise, red or white wine. Then when you climb aboard (not easy for older people or those using canes) you see a blue plastic tub with head phones but no one telling you to take one, etc. Also-no spoken or written instructions on how to find audio tour. After spending 15 minutes looking for English language tour by turning channels, I noticed a small QR code on top of audio plug in box. Again -no help. I’m very familiar with QRs but when I hit the bar that came up I kept getting error message. There was only the captain on board from tour. When I asked him a question I got no response. After another 15 minutes of trying I gave up. A bit later I tried code again and this time it worked. Up came language choices. By now we were half way thru trip so I tried to fast forward. Wouldn’t allow me to do that either. Very disappointed and would advise viator to write explanation of tour more clearly, provide headphone info on description of tour and on table. Lastly I’d be more honest about cheese/wine tasting. I would also have Captain introduce himself before tour. He climbed aboard and started the boat. Very uncommunicative.

3.00Too crowded, too loud. Table seating not the best. I was stuck squashed next to very loud people, one opened the window so cold air was blowing on me most of the time. The bathroom was dirty. The audio didn’t work but because it was so crowded I couldn’t get help from the captain who was the only employee aboard. Overall not a very good experience.

4.00The sunset cruise thru the canals at night itself was amazing! However, the audio system is need of a major rehaul. There are many parts of the cruise that are filled with gaps and where there is narration the volume goes up and down or just not complete as if someone turned off the record button. There was an option to use WiFi and listen to the narration on your phone but I just don’t want to mess with it!

3.00It was a rainy night in Amsterdam and we couldn’t see anything. The headphones didn’t work properly. The boat captain had a very positive attitude and the candlelight was a cozy touch.
