A large industrial space with walls up to 17 meters high hosts immersive art exhibitions by classical, modern and contemporary artists. The artworks are brought to life through light projections and accompanying music.
Dutch Masters - Every day, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 PM
This immersive exhibition takes you back to the 17th-century, the golden age of Dutch painters such as Vermeer, Rembrandt and Van Gogh.
The Kingdom of the Pharaohs - Every day, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM
The hidden treasures of the grand Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt - from Khufu and Tutankhamun, to Ramses II. Buried for millennia beneath the sands of the Nile Valley, tell the story of ancient Egypt.
The Sea - Every day, from 2:15 PM
The Sea invites explorers of all ages to take a unique look beneath the surface of the oceans. Who hasn't dreamed of being swarmed by fish, seeing a coral reef up close or playing in the water with dolphins?

Beautiful concept, but some rude visitors ruined the atmosphere

2.00The location and the art at Fabrique des Lumières are truly beautiful, but unfortunately my experience was spoiled by some very inconsiderate visitors. At one point, we briefly placed our belongings on a bench, and another visitor immediately started speaking to us in a rude tone, even though we responded politely and were already about to move our things. Instead of calming down, he kept reacting in an unpleasant and exaggerated way. Later, at the photobooth, we were trying to take a quiet picture, but people kept opening the curtain while we were inside. Even when we kindly asked them to wait a moment, they were impatient and disrespectful. The staff themselves were very friendly and helpful, but sadly some visitors behave in such an antisocial way that it really ruins the atmosphere. It’s a shame, because the place itself is wonderful — it’s just the crowd that brings the experience down.

5.00I bought my ticket after seeing a poster downtown Amsterdam. It is an immersive presentation of the Dutch masters’ work through lights, movement, and music. It is a full and almost spiritual experience. I highly recommend it.

5.00Incredible experience. Well priced. The show was fantastic and mesmerising. Super high walls and lots of places to sit and watch. The music added to the atmosphere which was so peaceful. Great graphics. Somewhat confusing at times, we entered during the show and didn’t realise when it ended that we had more to see. Pick up a leaflet to find out which animals are shown first and what is at the end (whales). Loved it!!

5.00À merveilleux moment il was Great I am diver and it was what I saw under thé sea! I can say that my kids liked this exibition. And the lesson to be carefull with the oceans is great.

5.00We were there on Sunday mornings to see the masters of Holland. It was very impressive and is definitely worth a visit.Afterwards you get a short impression of the following event the sea which we found not so nice for us, is guaranteed quite great for children.

4.00Always a great experience. I have been multiple times and I always enjoy it. I particularly loved the Klimt experience in 2022, as well as the Ancient Egypt one in June 2025. Though there are many places to seat down, I would recommend walking around and to see each show twice in a row to have a full experience. It is a bit outside the city center but very easy to reach with public transport, and the complex (Westergasfabriek) itself is very nice. I recommend going during the week, as in the weekends it can get extremely crowded.

5.00Very beautiful light show. We have seen the one about the sea. We saw plenty of sea creatures, dolphins, whales, fish, jellyfish, anglerfish and more. Real recordings along with some animations following a specific order. There are several spots to sit within the factory. Can enter anytime.
