For the most part, you can enjoy beautiful current day Amsterdam whilst you can listen to the audiotour (Dutch or English). At 7 locations you will put on your VR headset, which will show you your direct vicinity 400 years ago during the 17th century. Visitors get to see:

5.00There are plenty of canal tours in Amsterdam that take you around to show the beauty of the city. However this VR tour is truly one with a difference that truly brings the history to life. While all tours have some form of narration going, this tour brings it to life and shows 1600s everyday life going on around you. We were still laughing about the cows on barges hours later. The boat is comfortable, you have the option to have a platter of tasty local cheese to go with the drink and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have been to canal tour before, but I would heartily recommend this one for that extra depth in stepping back in history!

5.00Very impressive! The virtual presentation of Amsterdam in the 17th century in combination with the live experience outside the boat windows is really really extraordinary! The impressive history of Amsterdam is presented in an hour, after wich you’ll respect the Dutch even more! :-) Definitely recommended!!

5.00Very nice experience, small scale heated boat, friendly staff, easy to operate VR. The animations were very well put together, and nice was that if you took the glasses off again you had arrived at the same point, but ~350 years later. The cruise is highly recommended!

5.00It was great! Well cared for, good equipment, good explanation, good mate and good guide. Super nice, with gied sound and a special experience with good VR glasses. In short, just a must. A number of our friends have already indicated that they will do this.
