Aaron was extremely knowledgeable and I enjoyed my time with him. I learned a great deal about history, which is an interest of mine. Aaron talked a little too fast and I misunderstood much of what he said. However, I have to comment on his proclivity to be ‘preachy’ about his politics. His disparaging remarks about the US became tiresome. He must learn to realize that we are as proud of our country as he is of his and I certainly know not to be insulting to someone about their homeland and heritage. Many times over, I’ve heard that Europeans are far less tolerant and welcoming to Americans than Americans are to Europeans.

This was a great start to our short stay in Amsterdam. We saw Dam Square, a bit of the Red Light District, Stock Exchange, beautiful buildings, streets, canals, etc. When we returned to Amsterdam at the end of our 10 day river cruise, we knew enough about the city to make the last 3 days easy to navigate.

Our guide, Robin, was terrific! He was enthusiastic, well informed, and amusing. He even treated us guests to a sample of the beloved Dutch treat, Stroopwafel!
