Your trip will continue to the enchanting village of Giethoorn in the north of the Netherlands for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Known as the "Venice of North," the village is notable for its many canals and complete lack of roads. You will explore the fairytale village, where less than 3,000 people live, on a 1-hour guided boat tour. Experience the scenery on a leisurely trip through the canals. Explore the preserved village on foot, and see how each farmhouse is built on a small man-made island. Wander the narrow footpaths to discover hundreds of bridges, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the village.

I wish I could remember our guides name! He was amazing! He was funny and met all of our needs. He even pulled over so we could get a closer look at the beautiful tulip fields. There was a toddler on the tour, and he was so kind and made a good friend with him. So cute!

Very awful experience and irresponsible tour operator as they did not show up to receive us at the meeting point. Immediate telephone no. was on off hours service. Help center can not find anyone to react immediately. Very very lousy for Viator.

The venues were great (the K Gardens were stunning and Giethoorn so peaceful and beautiful but … The pickup location had been changed that morning due to “bus issues” and we had to wait for those still trying to find where the pickup location was. I’m glad we had Wi-Fi otherwise we would not have known about the change of address. Our driver was not experienced w manual car driving. Lots of jerking while shifting. Unfortunately we had to sit in the back row and could not hear him even after we mentioned this to him. He did turn his head frequently when talking to make himself more audible but then that made us nervous as his eyes weren’t on the road all times. There was a lot of braking going on. Due to the delay instead of 3 hrs in Giethoorn we only had 2 hrs. It would have been nice to explore more. We did stop along a roadside field of tulips which made for a great photo-op.

I was contacted that they could not meet the minimum number of people for this event and they had to reschedule to a date after I was to depart. They said they would call me back after they checked other dates, but did not call back. I requested a refund and have not heard back from them since.

It was just incredible. We learned so much Dutch WWII history and saw the most beautiful views of tulip fields, windmills, canals, and the countryside in general was truly a sight to see. We absolutely loved it and it was truly life changing. Would absolutely do this again, and already informed other family members that we need to come back with them and stay in Giethoorn.

The time at Garden was too short. More time was needed as it was very crowded. We could not even get lunch in between . Because of shortage of time,We could have spent less time in Giethoorn. The vehicle was very dirty and there was a stink. The email did not give the correct pick up address. We got the correct address only after calling up. The driver was courteous.

It was a wonderful experience! The beauty of the gardens was incredible, and our guide Antonis Iliadis made the walk even more enjoyable with stories about the Netherlands, Amsterdam, the Keukenhof gardens, and the village of Giethoorn. The boat trip through Giethoorn was unforgettable! I am extremely happy with the entire trip!
