1.00The staff were great and friendly and the mulled wine was perfect for a chilly night. But that’s where the positives end. “Light festival” means something different in the US compared to Amsterdam. The light festivals I had gone to before meant everything was covered in lights and holiday decorations. This light festival is an art exhibition where a few pieces of art are made from lights and are scattered down the canals. One of the staff members is to give a little background on each piece. But in my boat, a group of 10 or so drunk people shouted over anything the staff member said so he eventually gave up. The group also shouted/sang over the Christmas songs on the speakers so that was eventually shut off too. I wouldn’t recommend this tour. There are better ways to see the art and canals
