Nice boat trip along the Amsterdam Light festival. Well taken care of with free drinks, soft drinks and wine. Various hot snacks were also served. Excellent explanation by the guide. Although it was very cold there was still very nice. A few windows were open to take good pictures.

Where to start? We arrived at the requested time to find a dimly lit walkway and no boat. Two other similarly uncertain passengers arrived shortly after us. The “fun boat” arrived 10 minutes later, a tiny runaround with a plastic covered roof. Getting onto the boat from the walkway was hazardous with no real support. The roof of the boat leaked, and the only open window was at the front which we had to keep clear for the captain to see. There were no real seats, only benches around the side with plastic cushions that slipped around. The catering involved helping yourself to a cool box with several wine bottles most of which were already open (but for how long who knows?). There was no service as such. The hot snacks were just OK, again help yourself from a plastic dish on top of the cool box. We had to use the lights on our phones to find the drinks and snacks as the lights in the boat didn’t work which also contributed to the sense of hazard getting in and out of the boat. The boat hit one of the bridges at one point and the commentary didn’t mention the light features until we were right on top of them so no real opportunity to prepare to try to take photos through the plastic sides or by crawling forwards to the one open window. In short a terrible experience and we were surprised to find a shonky trip such as this promoted by Viator / TripAdvisor. This is definitely not up to the standard we expect and have become used to.

This was the masterpiece of our daytrip to Amsterdam. The Skipper and tourguide of this were such lovely amazing people. They gave wonderful insights to all the pieces of the lightdesign sculptures through the town. Highly recommend their tour. Best part of our trip! :)

Great evening cruising down the river with excellent host informing us about each piece of art. It was cold so wrap up well. But it’s well worth it.

When I initially booked the boat ride, it said it included hot chocolate but when I paid for it, there was no longer any hot chocolate. Otherwise, the boat ride was great and we got to see the light exhibit. The boat was a little late and there was so confusion as to whether our names were on the list but I had the printout and the emails confirming the trip.

Great guide guy and nice explanation, good choice. The snacks are very decent and warm and that is nice considering a cold weather. The artworks are lovely, we would do it again - thanks

It was really super nice, and cozy! The host could also tell a lot about everything, and had many fun facts. Everything about the tour was fine; the people, the views and the snacks.
