Asakusa, where our classroom is located, was the birthplace of ramen in Tokyo just over 100 years ago. Make a delicious bowl of ramen and some crisp and juicy gyoza to go with it.
Btw at our Chagohan Tokyo Cooking Classes, Guests can enjoy what we call the Japanese culinary experience, sake tasting or matcha making experience. In the evening sometimes guests can enjoy some light sake appetizers along with carefully selected Japanese sake & whisky.

What To Expect
> In this class, you will gain knowledge about how to prepare and make the delicious ramen base and broth from scratch. Not only that, also learn to make delicious gyoza, juicy on the inside and wonderfully crisp outside. At the end, assemble a gorgeous and deliciously photogenic bowl of ramen. Aside from that, get insider tips and cook like a true local! > • Make ramen broth and base from scratch, preparing ramen toppings. • Making the filling for and fold delicious crispy gyoza dumplings by hand cutting techniques for vegetables. • Apron and utensils provided, so come as you are. • All natural ingredients provided, no MSG or artificial additives. • Get a recipe. ＊Vegetarian and vegans friendly options available with advance notice. > • Morning class from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. • Afternoon class from the 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ＊Please note that class durations are an estimate, and may differ slightly. > • Great for ramen aficionados, families, couples, friends, and company team building exercises. 5.00Guides were great. Very knowledgeable, excellent English, and super supportive. We had gyoza (made filling, assembled using wraps were commercial pre-made) and ramen (noodles ahead of time, we cooked some parts of the ramen, we cooked noodles and assembled ramen). I thought we were going to make the noodles as well, but that is on me not the hosts. Overall delicious and interactive way to have lunch with a twist. Guides also sent photos from event right away, as well as recipes.

5.00This is the second cooking class we have taken on our current Japan trip and this one is the ONE! We learned so much and had fun at this class. The food was so good. Our friends did the first class with us and not this one and we are so sad they missed this experience. I can not recommend this class enough!

5.00From the moment we stepped into the kitchen, we were made to feel welcome. Dietaries were accommodated easily for all members of the group. We were shown how to make dashi and provided background of other unique ingredients. A lovely balance of demonstration and hands on experience. Best of all we got to eat our gyoza and ramen at the end. Truly the nicest vegetarian ramen I’ve had in Tokyo so far. Highly recommend!

5.00This was a wonderful experience for our family with 3 teens. The couple were delightful and great teachers. We learned a lot about different kinds of ramen and the ingredients that go into making a flavorful bowl. We prepared most of the ingredients and then focused on the goyza while the broth cooked. They did a great job instructing us on preparing and shaping the dumplings. Go hungry and know you won’t need lunch after. We ate everything we made! It was all outstanding. Highly recommend!

5.00This is the best cooking course I have ever completed in 20 years. It was also the best ramen I've ever tasted. The couple that run this program are really lovely and that contributes so positively to the atmosphere in the room. It is well organised and the ingredients are high quality. We learned a lot, had fun, and shared a beautiful meal together. This should be on EVERYONE'S bucket list. Also, you can buy quality Japanese knives here at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

5.00The class was great fun and we took lots of pictures. Our instructors made everything look easy! The Gyoza in particular looked simple to make, but we discovered it takes practice to shape them nicely by hand! Everything was delicious! We would definitely take this class again - highly recommended.
