poor experience booked prior to travel only to receive a whatsapp message to cancel a tour at 7.46 pm the evening before & on New years day leaving us no time to reschedule during our trip or to arrange alternate arrangements, be wary before booking as it seems many of these tours are in actual fact over sold book direct or with a local company

The local tour operator contacted me 23 hours prior to the scheduled pickup. I paid for hotel pickup and drop off at our hotel for an 8:10 tour. I was informed 23 hours prior to the scheduled start time of 8:10 that they would not pick up us or drop us off at the hotel. I talked to the hotel and they said all the tours pick up and drop off at the hotel. We were told to meet at an address a mile away at 2:05 am. I tried many times to contact the local tour operator and they did not answer their phone. I expressed my disappointment with this problem with our driver as we traveled on our tour of the Salt mine. He told us he has friends in the industry and maybe he could help us. When I told him the name of the tour company he shook his head and said that the company does not have a good reputation in the area. After I was told they would not cancel the tour I started to read the recent reviews. When I booked the tour in November reviews were good with a rating of 4.7. When I read reviews the evening before our scheduled tour recent reviews were all 1 star the over all rating was down to 3.5. The next day the rating was 2.8. The people reviewing the tour had the same complaints I had. They stated that they arrived at 3:30 to 4 am and had to stand in the cold waiting for someplace to open. Then they had to wait in line for tickets. The tour I booked included tickets. Two of us on this tour are in their 70’s and one has MS. They could not stand out in the cold for 3 hours. If you want to go on this tour DONOT take a tour with Gr8way.

If you're planning ahead, book your tickets to Auschwitz directly with the Museum - I learned there isn't a fee when you do this, you just have to make your reserved entry time 3-4 weeks out. Since we were already in Poland when I figured this out, I booked this experience last minute. We were advised by the tour operator that because of the last minute booking/no reservations, we would be with a group that would need to wait in a same day line, where a limited number of tickets are given out by the Museum each day and that the additional "waiting time would be anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, but rarely longer." I should have suspected something was awry when we were advised we needed to be at the pick up location at 2:05am because the drive there was about an hour and the Museum didn't actually open until 8am. If you're doing the math, that is a 5 hour wait outside in the cold (about 32 degrees), before the "30 min - 2 hour wait" after opening! Unlike other last minute tours that were dropped off before us, our "guide" or "facilitator" did not remain with us and stayed in the warm bus until around 9am. We signed up for an English speaking tour, which the Museum provided, but our driver did not speak English, so the communication was extremely poor. This was especially evident when the tour ended. I did attempt to message the tour operator to find out "When the tour is finished where is pick and at what time?" but did not get a response back and the driver did not give any instructions on when or where to meet for the drive back. Although he did try calling and then ended up texting me to advise us where to go. However, when we got to the bus everyone was already loaded up and waiting on us (my husband is a stickler for being on time, so this was another ding in his eyes). Further, the driver must have made some sort of side arrangement with another party in our group for them to be dropped off at a different location (probably closer to their hotel) than the pick up location and I had to speak up to get him to drop us where we were picked up, since that is what we paid for (yay for Apple Maps!). Finally, although, you'll get a message from the operator indicating there is an option for ordering a lunch, the response back I received when inquiring about it was "I'm sorry but company that we are making lunchbox don't have option for preparing it tomorrow". If you still want to book this this operator after reading this review, I wish you the best!

Guarantee skip the line is a JOKE! The tours are operating by group and bring you skip the lines in front of the queues!!! Not sure how they can do that, I feel sorry for other people when skipping the line in front of them. The waiting experience was horrible, they only texted you less than 24 hrs (so that you cannot cancel) and inform the tour start from 2:10am (originally I join 8:10am tour), bus arrive the camp at 4:15am and you have to stand there waiting for tickets until the ticket counter open (open at 7:30am). We stand under -3 degree for 3.5 hours without shelter, water and enough clothes, We think it is a cheating, if we know the fact we can better prepared ourselves and at least bring some hot food with us! The driver is not helpful, he drove the van away and left us there waiting!! The concentration camp itself is great and definitely worth a visit!! My advice is to purchase ticket from the official web. ONLY join the tour if you are really desperate for visiting!! This is your last option!!!

We tried to get the tickets for Auschwitz on this website because they were finished everywhere, it seemed like a frigate in fact it was so. We had the appointment with the escort at 8:10 in the morning the day before I received a message that they would come to pick us up at 2 in the morning. We arrived there at the bus a bit scared because it seemed strange, instead everything seemed to be fine, arrived there at 3:30 in the morning we were in the cold with -9 degrees outside in front of the gate to queue despite having priority tickets, the guy on the bus did not even let us stay in the bus to warm up a bit ‘if he was gone he left us there in the cold from 3:30 to 7:00 in the morning. It had gotten to the point that we couldn't even speak because of the cold. It took forever to let us in, even though we saw people who had the same guide as us, the same tickets but with different safer sites. The visit we made but with an agency that for me has to close at summer

To avoid absolutely, they are thieves. I was swindled 170€, the appointment was scheduled at 8:10 and the night before they sent me a message where they said they would stop at 2.15 in the morning and then they did not pass. We had to get a Bolt and pick up the tickets already paid for, despite being all day calling and trying to get in touch with these rabble. Avoid absolutely.

Our experience with visiting Auschwitz booked through Viator has been profoundly negative due to poor logistical management, lack of essential information and charging for services that have not been provided. The exact same timetable and modality options are available on the website for both Meeting Point and Hotel Pick Up, but the Hotel Pick Up option comes at a higher cost. We chose and paid for the Hotel Pick Up option precisely to avoid travel and logistical complications, and yet our booking was treated in practice as if it were Meeting Point. This forced us to travel on foot more than 30 minutes in the morning to the meeting point, despite having paid a supplement for hotel pickup that was not executed at any time. We consider this a charge for a service not provided. In addition, we booked the tour at 10:00, understanding that there could be slight modifications, but we were finally assigned a pickup at 2:00 in the morning, with an 8 hour difference from the contracted schedule, something totally disproportionate and not clearly indicated in the booking process. Once at the meeting point, we had to wait outdoors from 3:30 to 6:30 in the morning, that is, two and a half hours in the open, with a temperature of approximately -6 °C, without any shelter, alternative or adequate organization. This situation is especially serious considering that one of the people in the group suffers from a lumbar pathology, which makes this experience not only uncomfortable, but potentially harmful to health. None of this was clearly indicated in the tour description. If this is the actual logistics of the service, it should be explicitly advised before allowing the booking, so that the traveler can make an informed decision.

Do not book tours with this company. I booked this your and received confirmation of a collection time of 7am, my money was taken on the 29th Decemeber then less then 24 hours before the tour the time was changed to 2am pick up and still no guarantee of tickets. They are clearly over selling these tours for large amounts of money, then after saying I would not be able to stand in those conditions of -5 degrees for all that time I have been told I will not receive my money back! We are being scammed by these companies. I would advise against anyone booking any tours with this company

We received a message the day before saying pick up would be 2:10 in the morning. With this being our last day in the city, we went. The transport was good. We arrived at Auschwitz at 3:30am. The driver dropped us off, gave us a sticker, and we queued from 3:30-6:30 in the freezing cold -3 temperature in snow. If you have any illnesses please don’t book with this company. There are no facilities near the queue, no toilet, anything. Thankfully, the driver took some of us to a petrol station nearby whilst others in the group held our spaces in the queue. Other than that, he stayed nice and warm in his van. Once the gates opened, the driver reappeared and explained that we had to queue for tickets. The tickets had not been purchased in advance. We eventually got to the ticket office at around 8:30am. We missed out on the tour at 9am. The next available tour for us all to fit on was at 11am. Our passports were handed over and tickets were created for us, this was not pre-booked. The driver handed over the zloty to pay for the tickets. I think 30 people are allowed on a tour at a time. We went to the restaurant and I closed my eyes for a short time and I was told off by staff for sleeping and asked to go to the “hostel” room in the next room which is absolutely fine, I didn’t know it was there. However, everyone was told off for closing their eyes there too. The actual tour led by the Auschwitz guide was so informative. Our tour guide was brilliant, he possessed so much knowledge about the camp. We were picked up by the driver and taken back to the city. Overall, the actual tour led by the Auschwitz tour guide was so interesting and we left feeling very well informed and gained lots of knowledge about the atrocities of the camp. The issue I have here is private companies such as this one profiteering from such a devastating piece of history and running a very deceptive business. We paid £90 each. A guided tour costs £25 each from the museum. The price of this company’s tour is not logical. It is over inflated and you are basically paying for a taxi to and from the site and get left in the freezing cold for almost 5 hours. Buses with other tourists turned up after us and just walked straight in as they must have been with companies who ACTUALLY had the ticket pre booked. We did not have the opportunity to book directly with the museum as we booked the trip early November. If you have booked in advance, avoid booking with any private company.

It sucks. The operator did not contact me about the pick-up time. I e-mailed her beforehand, but she ignored me. When I asked for a refund, they didn't respond. This company definitely should quit. I don’t recommend it at all‼️
