The English guide tells the story about conditions and live of prisoners and show the remains of barracks, watchtower, railway ramps, gas chambers and crematorium. After completing the sightseeing, return back to Cracow and finish the tour at the reception of your hotel.

VISITING PACE: Please note that there are hundreds of people visiting the Auschwitz Museum every day and keeping your own pace of sightseeing is not possible.

DEPARTURE TIME: You will be picked up from your selected location between 5:30am to 2:30pm depending on museum's availability to start the tour. If the pick-up time for the tour is early, there will also be a waiting time of 2 to 4 hours.Select your most favorable timeslot and we will try to fit you in, but it is not a guarantee. We will inform you the final pickup time at least 12 hours prior to pickup time so you can make plan to arrive at pickup location. Changing the pickup time does not entitle you to cancel the trip and receive a refund.

LUGGAGE SIZE: Each traveller is allowed a maximum size of any baggage allowed in The Auschwitz Birkenau Museum is 30x20x10 cm. This is more or less the size of an A4 sheet. It's okay to have a small handbag or wallet with you. If your luggage is bigger, you can leave it in the locked bus parked next to the museum. Our driver will look after your luggage while you are away.

WEATHER: We operates in all weather conditions, during this tour, you will spend up to 70% of the time outdoors, especially during the second part at Birkenau Memorial Place. Please bring weather appropriate clothing.

HOTEL PICKUP: Some of the hotels located in Kraków Old Town are in traffic restricted area and no direct pickup is available. In that case we provide a pickup from closest possbile pickup point.

In order to enter the Auschwitz Musuem customer must provide tour provider with full names of all participants. Otherwise customers won't be allowed to enter.

ID DOCUMENTS: Every visitor has to bring ID to verify. Otherwise the security might refuse enter the Musuem

Children must be accompanied by an adult

Valid student ID allows you to get a youth discount.

Auschwitz Museum reserves the right to change the visiting time, therefore the pickup time is approximate and may change. In the absence of a guide, the tour will be organized by purchasing tickets at the ticket office for a guided tour.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau

The distance between Krakow and Auschwitz Birkenau is around 65 kilometres so it takes approximately 1 h 30 minutes in one way. In first Camp Auschwitz you spend about 2 hours, with guide.

After visiting Camp I Auschwitz you will have short (10 minutes) break and then we go by bus to Camp II Birkenau. The tour in Birkeanau takes about an hour with the same guide.

I emailed three times. Nobody showed up to pick me up. No response from the tour guide or Viator. I am filing a dispute on my credit card for fraud. Would not recommend - and still no response. I have all the screenshots of the multiple messages I sent.

The operator made it impossible to go on the trip, by only advising the night before the trip that it was 02:10am pick up, with only a few hours notice… Blaming the museum, when they knew this was always going to be the case. They let you book knowing this to be the case and therefore making it impossible for yo to change, complain and get a refund

Would first like to say that the driver was amazing. But was disappointed that we were unable to get an English tour, as my booking didn’t actually mean guaranteed entry, which should be clarified on the advertisement. We were picked up at 6:25am, despite me booking for 10:10am - something that again, should be clarified. The van was apparently ‘too big’ to pick us up at our hotel (despite vans of the same size picking me up for other excursions), so I had to walk 20 minutes to the pick up, at 6am. We had to do the tour in Polish, which wasn’t too bad as we had the books, but still a disappointment. And to top it off our tour guide left us when we got to Birkenau, so we had to plead with the person at the gate to let us in without a guide, and missed out on a guided experience.

The Tour operator let us down badly, we booked an English tour but had to follow a polish tour guide. This made it impossible to understand anything that was said,, we tried to follow in the guide booklet but it was very hard. On the morning of the trip we were told we could get a refund and go back to the hotel after travelling an hour to Austwitch. If we had taken this option we would have missed the Major part of coming to Krakow. Very disappointed with tour operator but would not have wanted to miss the Austwitch experience it was sad.

Everything provided by the company was amazing, our time was changed from 07.00 to 04.05 but at no fault of the company. Even after this they went the extra mile in making sure we were comfortable and everything ran smoothly. Driver was super attentive and made everything feel easy for us during our first time in Krakow & Auschwitz-Birkenau. Very sensible driver too. Would definitely recommend and use again when we choose to return to Poland. 10/10 5*

Visiting this place is emotionally challenging, but extremely important, and the entire visit was conducted with great respect, sensitivity, and professionalism. The company that organized the tour did an excellent job from start to finish. Everything was very well organized — clear instructions, comfortable transportation, and smooth logistics throughout the day.
