Despite 10 am reservations, pick up was at 0350. Rather than the hotel pick up we reserved, we were required to walk a mile at through Krakow at 0330 to a vacant apartment for a bistro pick us up. Logistics were not at all what we expected. The tour itself was excellent.

Absolutely amazing! I was a bit weary as some of the reviews are horrible but I trusted my gut and what can I say, Wow! Our driver, Andrew was absolutely amazing and had great english, communication and his instructions were very clear. We were told the day before we would be picked up at 5:40, this may put you off but we arrived at the camps for 7ish then we were then assigned groups and given our tickets. I couldn’t have asked for a better day, if you’re thinking of doing it I definitely would!

The organization was unreasonable. Less than 24h before the start of the excursion (no more possibility to cancel) we were informed by email/WhatsApp that we will be picked up from the meeting point already at 2:20 at night. Our protest and calls were not answered and the conditions were sent to us only without comment. The bus was on time. At 3:30 we were then dropped off in front of the closed gates in Ausschwitz in the freezing cold (near 0°C), without seating or possibility to warm up/toilet, to now wait in line until the entrance. From 6:30 we waited another 2.5 hours in front of the ticket office to get a ticket for a guided tour at 10:15. We had booked "fast track" and start of the tour for 10:10 (pick up from the hotel), no sign of it. On our requests to the tour guide, he blamed everything on the bad organization in Ausschwitz. Other organizers treated their guests better, as they lined up to wait while guests could wait in the heated bus. This is not how you deal with customers, especially since the trip was really expensive.

The tour in Auschwitz was very good. But although the title of this bookings says 'hotel pick up', there was no hotel pick up. Also the hour to go to a meeting point changed the evening before. We needed to be at the meeting point at 2.20am. Then it's a one hour drive to Auschwitz. Then they drop us off there in the middle of the night, in the freezing cold, and we needed to wait until 6.30am (so that's 3 HOURS) until the museums opens the door for their restaurant, then we could go in and warm ourselves up. Until then it was still unsure if we could start the tour. Because they don't reserve tickets in advance, you need to queue again. Then finally we could start our tour around 11 am. Only positive and respectful words about the tour. But the organisation is a scam. Make sure to book tickets with an organisation who books your tickets in advance so you don't need to stand in the line the whole night to be sure to have a ticket.

A well organised trip with a system that ran very smoothly. Will not forget this trip for its sad history.

HORRIFYING have not complied with anything contracted. In fact, I have claimed the refund of the amount of the proportionate part of the contract not fulfilled and I am refunded 23 euros of 235 euros paid. I will claim at the relevant consumer office and the relevant judicial entities in my city because this can not be left like this more than anything else because it does not happen to other travelers you can not hire a minivan that you give a bus you can hire no queues and you eat five hours of queues from 3:00 in the morning to 0° in the open without anyone to support you or driver or anyone when other companies, the driver who took them, brought them, gas stations close to buy coffee and food. My advice is not to contract with Viator ETC. ETC.

They changed the starting time from 8am to 2am, they didn’t pick you up from the hotel as they promised, you had to walk to the pickup point in the middle of the night. When I wanted to cancel and reimbursement, they said they dont pay back (99€). So I went. When bus arrived to auschwiz, they made clients to wait outside in the ticket line from 3:30 to 8:30 am while bus driver drove away and probably slept in the warm bus. It was totally unbelievable and crazy! But auschwiz tour was great! Just choose another tour operator!

This is what you should know. I booked and received an e-ticket for an experience where it says 7am. I received a text message when we arrived in Krakow to say we were getting picked up at 2am. Just within the 24 hour cancellation period so we couldn't cancel. I questioned this as it must be a typing error. No, it was correct. Our first half day was ruined, we couldn't go out for some drinks, couldn't get any sleep and were picked up at 2am with other people complaining also. We arrived at Auschwitz at 3am to then have to stand in a queue, in the dark and cold and rain for 6 hours until our tour at 9am. We wasted our first night, missed our paid breakfast in the hotel and it really destroyed any enjoyment or immersiveness of the tour as we were all shattered. It was an awful experience. Be careful with these bookings, you are not buying a ticket for a tour, you are buying a taxi to and from the tour and have to wait in line 6 hours for a ticket when you get there. This even applies to skip the queue tickets. You do not skip the queue. A full complaint will be made and a claim through travel insurance. Avoid.

I was not sure what to expect but was close to tears on a number of occasions as we did this tour. Such a somber experience but one worth seeing to show just what depths people can reach in their mid guided beliefs. The part that showed the hai that was cut off and sold and the tiny children’s shoes that were taken and stored was heart breaking You must see it but it will tug on your heart strings
