What To Expect
Krakow
Your tour begins with transportation from Krakow to the Wieliczka Town where there is a salt mine. Pickup by bus from a pre-determined place (hotel or other place that you choose) at a specified date and time. Transport takes about 30 minutes.
Wieliczka Salt Mine
As part of the visit, you will receive an individual entrance ticket to the salt mine and a professional yours language speaking guide. The guide is available in one of the selected languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian. Visiting the Salt Mine takes place in groups of up to 30 people. You will also receive a set of headphones during your tour. The mine has 9 levels, underground. During the tour you will learn about the history of salt mining in particular historical periods. With a guide, you will visit a maze of corridors and a complex of thematic chambers where there are numerous sculptures, chapels carved into the rock and an underground lake. Feel the unique microclimate of the mine, which is ideal for people suffering from asthma and allergies, and feel the benefits for your health. After completing the tour you will return with an elevator to the ground. After the sightseeing, you will return to the parking lot where your driver will be waiting for you.

5.00Several people told me that I had to do this tour while visiting Krakow. It looked interesting, but it far exceeded my expectations. The story behind the mine, chapels, sculptures, etc., is fascinating. It's a definite must-see. Note that there is a lot of walking. While you're in mine shafts for a couple of hours, there's no real feeling of claustrophobia. It's generally wide open spaces -- up to 440 feet underground!

5.00Stunning what the minesr achieved with the rudementary tools they had. The working chapel was just stunning. And all in salt. Amazing. The statues out of salt were good and considering it was done by the miners amazing. Throughly recomment

5.00Really great experience at the salt mines! The collection and drop off was great and our driver Matthew even gave us history facts about Krakow when driving to the salt mines which was fun. The salt mines itself are incredible, definitely worth a visit if in Krakow!
