First of all, I suggest doing this excursion. Not just for the excursion but to help the people involved. After a bumpy start finding the location, we were on our way. The ride to the destination is long but allow the guide to explain what you are witnessing. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and accommodating. She offered us beverages of our choice to make our ride more enjoyable. I hate I don’t remember her name but although she is young, she knew her stuff. Have patience with allowing her to translate to English. Spanish is her first language. The driver was also very good. Once we arrived, there was a changing station for my wife and a storefront right along the docking station. From there, we met another guide for the tour of the lake. Wow - the lake is gorgeous and hard to believe that it’s a lake. He tried showing us a crocodile but it wasn’t out this day. The lake had many shades of colors, which signified water depth. After taking a tour and getting the history of the lake, we docked on the water near a bird sanctuary, which was an island in the middle of the lake. We were able to get out the boat and swim in water about 2-3 feet deep, which was crystal clear. The boat tour guide cut up fresh watermelon, cantaloupe, and pineapple. The pineapple was purchased along the road side on our way up by our driver. They were 3 for a dollar. Why this is important is to again explain why it is important to support the locals. What was also special is that our driver knew who to purchase the pineapple from. It was the best pineapple I have ever had! After the swim, we headed back, where I tour guide took our order for lunch. We ordered the beef tacos and they were delicious - yum. We headed back and I took a nap after a full day. Please tip them well for the experience and they will appreciate your generosity. Enjoy.

Well organized, guide very friendly, informative, comfortable van transportation, beautiful boat ride. Enjoyed the fresh pineapple and mango on the boat. We were offered many beverages throughout the trip, water, coke, beer, tequila, and cucumber lemon juice. We enjoyed the restaurant meal. Arrived back to the port on time. I highly recommend this excursion.

The trip was very nice and well organized. Only the almost 1-hour wait was tedious. We were waiting for a second group that ultimately didn't come. Here you should set a certain maximum waiting time in advance.

7 color lagoon is beautiful and I’m so glad we got to see it. It reminded me of the water in taihiti, which is saying a lot. It’s just unbelievably clear. Even though it was chilly when we were there, I still got in! Had to say I made it in that water! Our tour person (iris) was also wonderful, friendly, warm and fun. Our lunch at Mr Taco was pretty amazing - really delicious and a unique place we wouldn’t have found otherwise. All in all… the tour was great. However, I probably won’t book through Viator again. This happened to us in taihiti as well… we should’ve learned. The info that you receive once you’re booked isn’t correct. You have to do all your corresponding through email and it just caused a lot of unneeded stress. First, the email said everyone meets within 50 min from being allowed off the boat - giving you time for a “leisurely morning”. And someone would be at the port with a sign with our name. Second - it says the meeting point is just meters from the port. I received an email via What’s App saying they would wait 20 minutes from the time the first person came from the boat. This text came before our gangway was even open. So we skipped breakfast with friends and headed out with the crowd. No one was at the port with a sign with our name, so we just kept walking based on the little map that came with our info. The walk was a good 20 minutes. I have no issue walking, but we had not accounted for that time. When I texted through what’s app to find out where our meet up was … after walking through the port area…they then said it was “a good 15-20 minute walk from pier”. I brought my emails to show that this was not what was sent to me. When we arrived, we were the last people and the tour guide was frantically looking for us. Here, everyone else in the van was from another ship that docked 1/2 hr before ours did. We were literally minutes from being left behind. So it started stressful. Then you’re in a crowded van (all 11 seats taken) for the 90 min ride. And no one is from your ship. And they are kinda aggravated that they had to wait for you. So it’s a little uncomfortable. We are friendly people and it all worked out in the end. We even really enjoyed the group that was all together on this excursion (from Europe) but it could’ve gone very differently. And I’m sooooo thankful that our friends who were with us on the cruise didn’t go for this excursion. With knee problems and mobility issues, there’s no way they could’ve made that walk. This is now the 3rd time we booked through Viator and had some sort of communication issue. I think that’s enough.

Our excursion was on a Wednesday and I didn't know prior that Wednesdays are "no navigation" days on Roatan. But nevertheless it wasn't an issue at all. The company provided us with a van that drove us to all our stops. Xiomara was our guide and she was fabulous. Beautiful water at the first lagoon. And the second cenote (cenote azul) was actually a bit warmer than the first. Drinks were in the van for us to have anytime. Lunch was authentic tacos in a beautiful location. I am including pictures so you can see what a great time me and my family had.

My husband and I had the most AMAZING time today with this excursion. Isis, Victor and Omar were the absolute best. Isis even taught me to salsa dance. We were offered water, coke, beer and tequila. They also had a pineapple on board and it was delicious. The lagoon was beautiful and I enjoyed swimming. I recommend brining a towel with you. We had tacos at the end which were great. I definitely want to do this excursion again in the future!

We really enjoyed this lagoon. The water is so beautiful. The whole experience was very fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable, about the area. So unique, lunch was good, pineapple was fun. Driver was good too. It’s a little distance but worth it. One of our best days. Would highly recommend this trip

Scammers. Booked a combo tour with ruins included and the operator said they will not take us to the ruins because there were not enough people only after we sat in the van. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM !!! Celina will torture you and take a million photos on her phone and will not even send it to you!!!
