Lovely experience. From communication, to pick up to the actual activity. I was the only participant and it was great having a private class. Food was great and wine was very reasonable. The property is beautiful and I would definitely return.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived, professional intros to the Chef and all staff. Modern and exciting architecture. There were only two of us so we had a private cooking/assisted demonstration then it was served beautifully to us for lunch. Aprons and recipe booklet as souvenirs. Also excellent communication prior to the day. A great way to spend an afternoon in Bali. Thank you.🙏

The food ended up delicious even though we helped make it. The chef was very accommodating for gluten free and modified the recipes to suit. It was a really great experience and two hours was the perfect amount of time.

We did a private cooking class here and the experience was amazing. It was a private 1 on 1 class and done in one of the beautiful villas. You cook each course and then eat it at a lovely table they have set up. Chef Surya was super knowledgeable and very helpful. One of the best experiences. We liked the hotel so much we ended up booking it and extending our trip for a couple of days.

This was a fabulous experience from start to finish. Collected from hotel and taken to a beautiful villa where the class took place - we were the only 2 in the class! Surya the chef, talked us through all the fresh ingredients and we prepared a beautiful 3 course meal together in an outdoor kitchen by a pool. We then sat down to eat the meal with a lovely bottle of wine (extra) in the beautiful private surroundings. There was also 2 assistants to the chef, Oka and a lady (sorry didn’t get her name) who were also so charming and helpful. Surya was fun and gave us lots of tips throughout the class. We were then driven back to our hotel. A great way to spend a couple of hours in Bali. Would definitely recommend and such good value for money as included your meal and transport. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made it so special.

The Balinese cooking class with chef Prawita at THE SANTAI Umalas Bali was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our transfer from THE SANTAI was punctual and comfortable, with a polite and English-speaking driver who made the 35-minute ride from Double Six Seminyak enjoyable. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by friendly staff who provided us with information about the location. A refreshing tropical drink set the tone for the class. The cooking class began at 1pm in a beautiful private villa with a well-equipped kitchen. Chef Prawita introduced himself and provided us with chef's hats and aprons. We were presented with a 3-course menu and given a detailed explanation of the spices, vegetables, oils, and aromatics used in Balinese cuisine. Allergies were confirmed to ensure a safe and enjoyable cooking experience. The personalized nature of the class, with one-on-one instruction from our personal chef, made it truly special. We learned how to cook authentic Balinese dishes while assisting Chef Prawita every step of the way. The attentive staff served each course we prepared and took care of housekeeping, allowing us to focus on the culinary experience. The serene villa setting, surrounded by nature and the sounds of birds and falling leaves, added to the overall tranquility of the experience. The cost of the 5-hour class was surprisingly affordable considering the quality of service and instruction we received from the time of pick up. As a thoughtful gesture, we were gifted an apron, a recipe book, and a chef's certificate to commemorate the experience. Booking through Viator was straightforward, making the entire process seamless. The total cost of $160 AUD was well worth the unforgettable memories and newfound culinary skills gained from this enriching cooking class.
