Carlo was an excellent bike tour guide on the "Berlin Highlights" 3 hour experience. He was considerate too, choosing locations to stop where there was shade as it was a hot afternoon. Carlo has a real skill in being able to explain complex geo-politics in a way that was easy to understand. He used chalk at the Checkpoint Charlie stop (on the ground, which he cleared afterwards) to explain how Germany and Berlin was divided. There was a good balance of history, humour and cycling. Highly recommended if you want to see more of the city than you could on foot, especially if you have limited time.

I have never been to Berlin before, so I thought it would be great to see it by bike. We made a lot of stops to all of the Berlin highlights. Fatima, our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job getting us through the city. The distance between rides on the bike was short and leisurely. As long as you know how to ride a bike, you will be fine. You don’t need to be an avid cyclist to enjoy this. I actually don’t recommend getting an E bike. They are heavier and as I said the distance between stops isn’t long and I don’t think it’s worth getting the Ebike. We did make some stops that had restrooms, but I do recommend bringing water or a protein bar if you think you’ll get hungry. We don’t stop for food. They do have pouches on the bikes to store things. This was one of my highlights of the Berlin trip and I highly recommended. It beats sitting in a car listening to a tour guide as you drive through the city. Make sure you get there 15 minutes early as recommended because they do leave promptly.
