No two tours with Evergreen Escapes are the same! Our guides craft itineraries that reflect the best of what the Park has to offer that day, including group interests and dynamics. Please note that the itinerary outlined is a SAMPLE of potential destinations that could be included in the tour.
Experience Mount Rainier's highlights on a day tailored to you. Our TripAdvisor "Hall of Fame" guides run the only day tours permitted to explore more than a mile from the park road as the National Park is ecologically important & delicate. The U.S. Park Service restricts other tour companies - our competitors offer "road tours." We are professional nature educators (not just bus drivers) that have dedicated our lives to artful travel.
Our all-inclusive small-group day trip is limited to just 10 travelers.

We caught a glimpse of the glaciers and snowy peaks of Mount Rainier from the van, it was snowing and drizzling and cloudy most of the time in the park. But I enjoyed our walks on the snowy steps and on 2 forest trails and learnt about the cedars and doug fir trees and lichen and moss in the forest. Our guide Dan was a great guy, he served us a nice picnic lunch and lots of snacks and drinks to go along. And a surprise treat at the end too. Our ride to the park from Seattle was comfortable and Dan explained a lot about volcanoes and history of the places we passed by. He got us thinking about respecting the mountains and the trees and thinking of how the forces of nature made the park how they were and are today. He is a good guide and pointed out things that we dont know about the park and the trees and rivers that came from the glaciers, sharing his knowledge and love of nature with us. The weather changes very quickly and therefore the mountain changes correspondingly and our experience of it changes dramatically too. Thats what makes the feel of the mountain and the park unique and amazing.

I am a concierge in Seattle and learned so much on this tour! The guide Sarah was great and very helpful with all my questions about the tour and Mount Rainier. I loved the healthy food that was brought for our picnic and the French press coffee on the first stop was top notch! The guided hike was a good length and difficulty (not too long or difficult!) which was great for the age mix of our group. Can't wait to recommend to our hotel guests!!

Everything was great. Brent was courteous, fun, knowledgeable and considerate. Thank you for a wonderful day. We were a very small group - just 2 of us so we were able to see and do everything. Mount Rainier is magnificent.

Marty was a knowledgeable, interesting, funny, kind and patient host as he shared the beauty & secrets of Mt. Rainier. What a day he gave us, from a comfy ride, delicious snacks, lovely picnic lunch, unlimited knowledge of the environment, the flora fauna, wildlife, and history, Marty gave us a fantastic experience at Mt. Rainier. His knowledge of the area and the mountain was never ending, he took us to the best view spots and tranquil quiet forests, we did light hiking to waterfalls and beautiful vistas. We saw black bear, marmots, squirrels and mountain goats; it was a great experience from start to finish. It was a best of Mt Rainier in a one day trip, highly recommend both Evergreen Escapes & Marty.

I rarely leave reviews, but this tour was so amazing I just had to. The views were incomparable, and the tour guide was friendly and funny from the get go; she made sure everyone felt comfortable speaking up about temperature of the car, etc. Even though the vehicle was large, she spoke at a volume we could all hear. She constantly checked in with us about water, snacks, and our general conditions without singling anyone out. She was so contentious that she called for a break when she heard someone breathing a little heavily going up hill, and still made sure to not draw attention to the individual. The hike was well planned taking in mind the varying levels of fitness of the group, and even when keeping a pace she made sure we were all able to hear all the interesting facts and histories she had to share. My brother and I both have several food allergies, and special dishes were prepared for us that were absolutely delicious! I would absolutely recommend this tour.

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Marty, was very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. The hikes he took us on were beautiful. We got to see some wildlife too (deer, chipmunks, ground squirrels, and a marmot up close; a bear and mountain goats from a distance). I would highly recommend Evergreen Escapes. They were easy to work with and responded to my online questions quickly. If I go back to Seattle, I will do this tour again
