  Fun experience, interesting information. Good drinks! If you ask questions at the bar about tastes they will let you taste multiple items and then even modify you chosen drink based on your taste if you'd like. Bartender was super friendly and knowledgeable.

  We visited the Bols Experience and had a great time! It was fun, informative, and packed with lots of interesting details. The interactive activities made it really engaging, and overall it felt like great value for money. The only slight disappointment was the espresso martini – it was served from a tap. While it tasted great (and I completely understand it’s one of their most popular cocktails, so it makes sense for efficiency), it was very quiet when we were there, and part of the enjoyment for me is seeing a cocktail being freshly shaken. That aspect took a little away from the experience. That being said, we really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to others looking for something fun and unique to do in Amsterdam.

  Didn't expect much, but wow. Lots of info, well explained. Example, pick up this cocktail making tool and video shows how to use it and common substitute at home. The cocktail tasting at the end is superb. I tried and liked the very old genever.

  My husband and I visited here on our anniversary and participated in a cocktail workshop. Overall, we enjoyed the museum, and the drinks were delicious. The environment was quite lively and crowded. However, the red-haired girl from Turkey who conducted our workshop had poor English, which made it difficult for us to understand her. When we asked her something, she was not so friendly, as if she didn’t want to answer our questions. Workshop was not like we expected, but we still had fun.

  We received a warm welcome, the ladies at the reception made us feel at ease. They gave us the freedom to first purchase the entrance tickets for the museum, and told us we could decide later if we wanted to upgrade to the workshop. We had some trouble using the audio tour, the girls were quick to help us out. The museum/experience was very interesting. Not only was it informational, it was also interactive. All your senses are stimulated here! The freebee at the beginning (a shot, to be enjoyed in a 3d experience booth) is such a nice gesture. After the experience/museum (it took us about 60 mins, but you can do it on your own pace) we opted for the upgrade on the workshop. We took a 30 mins workshop, in wich we not only created 2 cocktails, but the lady who led this workshop, was very entertaining and informative. We also got a token to get an extra cocktail at the bar after the workshop. Cocktails were all amazing. The total experience was 10/10 and we will be back for sure, especially when we have visitors from abroad. We went as a couple on a date and had a great time. Extra info: Just the experience/museum comes with 1 free cocktail of your choice. I asked for an off menu cocktail (the aviation) and it was happily made by the bartender without having to look up the recipe. The bartender was super professional and passionate about his craft. The 30 min workshop comes with 2 additional cocktails, the ones that ate created by yourself in the workshop (you can't choose this one, it's chosen by the trainer. In our case it was a gin based caipirinha and a pornstar martini). Also the mocktails were great, imagine an alcohol free mezcal smokey paloma! Yummie. You will get a 10% discount in the store so you can take home liquors or tools as a souvenir All in all, we don't understand why Bols is not yet the the top 5 things to do in amsterdam A very very big recommendation by us!

  The museum itself is okay - tells you a bit about our senses, how we interpret flavours, etc. but the real star of the show is the cocktail making experience! It's an affordable add-on to your trip that gives you an insight into mixology. You get to pick your flavour combinations and be guided by experienced bartenders in a relaxed setting. I would definitely go back to repeat it.
