Lake Bovilla

Lake Bovilla, also known as Bovilla Reservoir, is a hidden gem in Albania. It provides most of the drinking water for the capital, Tirana. We will pick you up from the hotel in Tirana and will drive towards the lake Bovilla for about 1 hour, 20 km from Tirana. The first half of driving is a normal asphalt road, but as soon as we leave the center of Kamez the road will be mainly gravel with some wholes but easy even for the normal cars. When we reach the Dam of Bovilla lake, we have a nice stop for a photo with nice background over the lake and the mountains surrounding the lake.

Mt. Gamti is located in the vicinity of Tirana, north of Mt. Dajti and Mt. Brari and south of Mt. Kruja This hike is challenging and it caters mostly to experienced & conditioned hikers. The hard work gets a nice reward with the amazing views of Lake Bovilla on the east side, Mount Dajti on the south and the Adriatic coast, west, on a clear day. Hiking the mountain will be maximum 1 hour. The track to hike is a simple level where every step gives us a more beautiful view as we reach the top. We will spent some time to get the best photos on 3 spots on the top of the mountain. After visiting the lake and Gamti mountain, we can enjoy a lunch in one of the 2 local restaurants around the lake. Return back to Tirana will be from the same road.
