[GLUTEN FREE, VEGAN, VEGETARIAN Options Available] What makes the Foodapest Cooking Class unique is that it blends culture, flavors, connection, and history into one experience. Unlike a standard cooking class, we begin with a guided market tour at the iconic Central Market Hall, where guests taste local specialties from real Hungarian producers. From there, we bring those fresh, seasonal ingredients to our cozy Budapest-style venue and learn how to prepare traditional Hungarian dishes, based on real family recipes. Along the way, guests connect with the city, the food, and each other: discovering not just how Hungarian cuisine tastes, but how it’s shaped by tradition, stories, and everyday life in Budapest. It’s not just a cooking class, it’s a cultural experience served family-style.

I really enjoyed this Hungarian cooking class. It was very good and had a warm, friendly atmosphere, organized by Mesi. I met people from many different countries, which made the experience even more special. Our chef was very kind, knowledgeable, and passionate. She taught us not only how to cook traditional Hungarian dishes, but also shared a lot of interesting information about Hungary and its culture. It was a great and very interesting experience, and I can highly recommend it.

This cooking class was so fun and cosy and well organised, and Kinga was an excellent guide and host. She was passionate, very knowledgeable and so kind and friendly. We cooked in a cosy apartment and it felt so homely, and we all ate together after. The experience was not rushed, I felt very relaxed. I highly recommend this experience and I’m so glad I did it ☺️

Had an incredible time at foodapest! This wasn't just about cooking; it was a deep dive into Hungarian culture and history. Our instructor was passionate and told wonderful stories about the origins of the dishes we made. We prepared authentic Chicken Paprikash from scratch, and I finally learned the secret to using real Hungarian paprika. The best part was sitting down at the end to enjoy the feast with a glass of local wine. A must-do if you are in Budapest! Mesi is the best guide

I visited this cooking class last week and had a great experience of cooking chicken paprikash. We were group of five people, worked together, ate together and had a lot of fun. Our guide was Birdie, and she was gorgeous. She explained the cooking step by step, showed how the dish was looking on every stage, told family stories and tips, laughed with us and paid attention to everybody. And result was really tasty. The kitchen was very clean and cozy in its Christmas decoration.
