A group of us were lucky enough to have Mark as our tour leader. It was a small group of 9 which meant we had no problem hearing him. He gave such an enthusiastic & well informed tour. He engaged with us all by learning our names & involving us all in his stories! It was good fun & we learnt so much about Cambridge & the Universities. Would recommend the tour, ask for Mark!

Our guide Sonya was both engaging and wonderfully knowledgeable about the history of Cambridge and how everything works here and related that to the group clearly and with fun and interesting observations. She took her time wandering round and was happy to answer any questions. We learned so much we’ve already forgotten more than we ever knew!!! The add-on of the Kings Chapel at the end where we were left to explore on our own was really good and additional cost was less than if you paid yourself and some companies seem to charge even more. Definitely great value for money.

The free walking tour in Cambridge was wonderful. Our guide, Mark, was the best guide we could have asked for. He did not only tell us a lot about the city, but he made it fun, informative and entertaining. He showed us places not every guide would have shown us and also talked about how women were disadvantaged in the field of studies and many more. With his jokes and interest in the people participating in the tour, he made it a memorable experience. We even got a little chocolate at the end. So if you have the chance to choose your guide, choose Mark!!

I took the tour with Mark as our guide, and it was fantastic from start to finish. Mark’s great sense of humor kept the whole group entertained, and his deep knowledge about Cambridge made the experience truly memorable. He shared fascinating stories and little-known facts that only an alum could know. Highly recommend this tour if you want both fun and insightful commentary on Cambridge’s history and colleges!

Our guide Mark was fantastic! Despite the heavy rain, he delivered an amazing 2-hour tour. He was very funny, shared lots of jokes, and told interesting stories that made the history feel much more relatable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about the historic city of Cambridge. P.S. We joined the free Footprints tour, where you tip the guide at the end based on what you feel is right. Would recommend this option to anyone who’s unsure what to expect from a guided tour.
