Truly amazing experience. Sofia and her family are charming and inviting. Learning authentic recipes and cooking methods in an outdoor kitchen as well as touring the farm should not be missed.

This was an amazing day spent on a family’s farm. We learned a lot about their own lives and family, how the farm works, the Create style of cooking and how much olive oil is really used! We were with one other family, so a good group of about 12-14 total, made several dishes all together and while they cooked had a tour of the farm, milked a goat (if we wanted to) they had baby bunnies, lots of chickens, all kinds of fruit trees. Just a wonderful relaxing day. Word of caution- as you arrive follow the signs for the farm, not your GPS- ours almost sent us into a man’s house! Same with the other group- Driving in Greece is no joke. Gave us a good joke for later.

This was a WONDERFUL experience! The hosts were very gracious and super nice. Certainly a highlight of my Greece trip. The food was delicious and of course all made from scratch. In mid April we had perfect weather, and the view from the farm is amazing. Highly recommended!

We just spent one of the most enjoyable and special days in my recent memory. We spent a day at a Cretan family farm in the village of Stylos. The hosts, siblings Paraskevas & Sophia, were wonderful people. The day was Crete personified. Cooking outdoors in the wood fired oven, looking at the sun drenched (yet snow capped) White Mountains. Sipping homemade wine. Milking goats. Chasing chickens. Playing with puppies. Eating. Laughing. The sort of day you don't want to end. My Daughter summed it up best: "Dad, best day ever". These are beautiful people and we wish them nothing but the best with their lives & endeavours. Thanks are not enough.

My 8 year old daughter gives the best review: "Best Day Ever, Dad!".

Fabulous day. The cooking class and visit to the farm was a real treat. The tour provided time with a family in their home, preparing several dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients, farm tour, and a lunch with the dishes we prepared earlier. All in all a great way to experience Crete.

This is a not-to-miss experience if you're traveling to Crete. We came in the off-season (Jan 2026) so as a result the day was cold and rainy, and nobody else had signed up. It didn't matter, Sofia and Paraskevos made a magical experience even though there was only the two of us! We had a blast learning to make traditional foods right in their own home's kitchen (due to the rain), hearing about the farm including the history and culture, and felt truly welcome and cared for. We got to meet many other family members as well, and share in some Raki. The whole time, from beginning to end, felt very special and we feel very lucky to have gotten to share time and a meal and learn the true meaning of Veggera.

Our visit to Veggera was nothing short of magical. We learned how to prepare authentic local dishes, guided by warm and knowledgeable hosts. While our creations baked in the oven, we explored the charming farm grounds and even had the chance to milk goats—a truly hands-on experience! From start to finish, it was immersive, fun, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to connect with nature and culture in a meaningful way.

This was our favorite day in Crete . From the moment we met this wonderful family we felt as though we had known them a lifetime. Sofia was a fabulous chef and taught us how to make an incredible dinner. We all had a hands on experience with cooking dinner, touring there incredible farm, milking goats, visiting there Yia yia and friends, dancing and singing. I can not say enough. It was a magical night . It is a must do in Crete. Beautiful people, every one of them and fabulous food . 5 stars

This experience was honestly the highlight of our trip to Greece : we felt like Sofia and her brother welcomed us not only to their table, but into their family! They gave us a taste of their culture through their home-grown food and their generosity. We loved the food as much as we loved to learn about their community and their way of life. Really the most genuine and authentic interaction we ever had. We came back home and were inspired to cook Greek cuisine. Thank you for this amazing experience!
