You will prepare your own meal under the guidance of a mom. You will learn 5 different recipes of traditional Cretan meals. The ingrdients we going to use are all gather from our organic garden.Also you will hear stories about customs and culture.

First you are welcomed with a homemade refreshment or a greek coffee from the hostess and homemade cookies.Then you will be informed about the mediterranean-based menu. You will learn about the significance of the "thieves dinner" (kleftiko),the main dish you're going to prepare (lamb). Next, you’ll prepare stuffed vegetables and stuffed grape leaves (dolmades). Then we will learn how to make kalitsounia.We use our rolling pins to roll out the dough for that! Appetizers are prepared last but enjoyed first. Tzatziki, Ntakos, and Cretan salad. Time to eat! Enjoy all of the beautiful traditional Cretan dishes you’ve created with copious amounts of local wine. Be sure to leave room for dessert. This was one of our favorite things we did in Crete! HIGHLY recommend to do this if you are traveling to Crete. The entire family is so nice and welcoming. Alex picked us up from our hotel (they do offer transfer services) and he was a pleasure to get to know. Verna was an absolute gem. She was friendly, welcoming, funny, and she gave great instruction for the class. We loved meeting the other couples in the class and overall this was an amazing experience. A MUST DO for sure. 10/10!!

First class experience offered by a Crete family. I booked this trip for 7 of my friends; none of them are cooks but very much foodies and wine lovers. We absolutely loved our experience; it was professional, personal, and perfect in every way. We participated in every step from chopping vegetables to making phyllo pastry. Veerna, business owner, mom and chef was amazing! It was so organized and clean. They provided transportation for us to and from the port for a minimal cost. One fabulous experience. 20 people max which made it more special.

We absolutely loved our cooking experience with Veerna and her family! Our children, 16 and 19, also had a great time. Veerna was warm, engaging, funny and we felt like old friends by the time we left! We loved meeting other families too, and all 20 of us seemed to have had a great time. I highly recommend this experience!

We had such an amazing time during this cooking class! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed as if we were part of the family—it truly felt like being at home. The class was not only informative but also incredibly fun and interactive. Everything was clearly explained, making it easy to follow along, even as beginners. And the food… absolutely delicious! This was our very first cooking class experience, and now we’re hooked—we want to try one in every country we visit, hoping they’ll be just as extraordinary as this one. Highly recommended!
