What To Expect
Mae Khachan Hot Spring
Relax at Mae Khachan Hot Spring. The place is located along the way from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai. This is a famous pit stop where you can soak your feet in hot pools or boil some eggs in the natural hot springs.
Wat Rong Khun
Known as the "White Temple", Wat Rong Khun is an art exhibition in the form of a Buddhism temple. The temple was designed by a very famous Thai artist Mr.Chalermchai Kositpipat. You can take photos with stunning sculptures depicting Buddhist beliefs. You will have lunch at a local restaurant near by the temple.

4.00The description of this tour is accurate so be prepared for a fast paced day. There is a lot to see and it is a distance to travel in order to get to various locations. We only had 7 on our transport but I could see if it was a full van, it could be a little uncomfortable. The long neck lady attraction is basically a tourist sales event but to see this culture in real life gives a new perspective. The hot springs is just 2 small fountains in a parking lot of a strip center. The temples, white and blue are visually stunning. The black temple/art colony was very interesting to me. And lastly the boat ride on the Mekong and the Golden Triangle has a deep history, the guide on the boat provides good information on each country that borders the area. It is a long and very full day, we did have lunch between some visits, it was a nice break and the timing at each location was great, in my opinion.

4.00Positives first- the activity is a MUST SEE for anyone interested in soaking the Thai culture. Our guide was well informed. Negatives- being vegetarian we were having a tough time, the journey is almost 550 kms both ways on a minivan that’s almost 13 hours. Carry pack able food. Don’t forget tipping the peole helping you make memories

5.00Great tour to see the White Temple, Blue Temple and Black Museum. Very informative to see the Karen Longneck people too. I liked the pace because the guide would explain what we would see while driving in the van, then we are on our own at the grounds. No need to follow like a herd. Definitely do this tour.
